Stephen Sommers Will Not Direct G.I. Joe 2 | Superhero Hype
Hey check it out, Stephen Sommers is out the directors seat for the sequel. I'm ecstatic to hear this, but I'd be even more pumped if they decided to reboot the series, oh how I dream. Anywho, lets hope this leads into something better for Joe fans regardless. Well, at least it has a chance now. If he was on board they might as well just burn the money and make it less painful IMO. Not really a fan of his work.

Despite what you might think Mr. Sommers, that is not an Oscar.

Ever since Joecon 2010 I have smelled a GI Joe Movie franchise "reboot" from a mile away.
I expect the ROC actors to be axed too... |

Interesting...it cost $172 million to make ROC and it earned $302 million and yet he gets fired.

Didn't the Zombieland writers say they stick with the continuity tho?
Who knows the real story. Maybe he didn't want to do it. Or maybe Hasbro thought it should have made more than that (and it should have). Nevermind the product tie-ins, which, as well know, sucked. |
