Well to be fair you didn't actually "read" it. You just looked at the pictures!

I can't tell you how much I wish they would leave Hama out of the IDW-verse now that he has ARAH back. However, IDW is Dixon's monster, and I'm sure he can take a typically random pointless Hama yarn and turn it into something that actually matters down the line. The long reveal is kind of his specialty with this continuity, look at Zartan. That was good stuff. I've got a subscription to this book, so I'll be getting it and looking at the pictures, but I don't expect much. Luckily I LOVE the artist on this issue. One of my favorites. Every cloud, and all that, I guess. I wish we could see Merrill Hagan back on this book. I really enjoyed that Snow Job issue, and would love to see more work like that. I won't get to the shop til tomorrow or Friday, so I'll post my final thoughts then.

This other group was pretty well equipped. They had alot of soldiers, a very hi-tech base and some kind of ultimate weapon. Not bad for a group of nobodies.

This was the first Joe book from IDW that I didn't care about getting the variants.
Both covers were pretty uninspired, I grabbed the white background with the blood cause that was the better of the two. And the RI cover was just a reused image from Ashley Wood's #21 homage cover used in the comic pack.

Decent comic. Was that supposed to be the "origin" of Snake Eyes & Timber? It really didn't seem to fit in the IDW continuity.

It doesn't fit in anywhere. It's a stand alone story that doesn't fit into any continuity. When does it take place? Is it prior to SE joining the Joes in IDW? Is it how SE met Timber in ARAH? But then "Timber" doesn't leave with SE at the end... Who are those terrorists?

Is it just me, or were parts of this story really hard to follow art-wise? It seems like this is a big problem in many of the G.I.Joe comics today. It seems like in the old Marvel G.I.Joe artists knew much better how to convey stuff happening in pictures, but not so much anymore.
