People are getting too worked up as usual, but thats to be expected. Similar to what someone else said. It's much too early to speculate whether or not SS will have a mask....why we don't see Cobra insignias...why we don't have traditional outfits, and so forth. Whose to say that sorta stuff doesn't start appearing down the line.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this IS infact an origins movie. In saying that, obviously the looks that we have come to know wouldn't exist yet. I can see it now....people are going to be going crazy when they see the first pics of CC without his traditional mask or hood. I personally think it would be silly if all these characters wore all these different outfits right off the bat and yet the Cobra organization isn't even created yet. It would look like some Halloween party, give some time for the movie to develop and i think aspects of the looks will come into play. |

Dennis Quaid as Hawk makes me smile I really dig it (Although he does look like Flint, or an old John Spartan ) I don't mind the power suits, but I do wonder why Cover Girl couldn't have her original "uniform" since it's just clothes, not spandex or anything. But then again, who knows we may still see all these characters in the clothes we're used to seeing them in seeing as these photos are but a second worth of a full film. |

and that drives me even madder. my childhood being raped? how do you rape a childhood? unless you still tear the sleeves off your t-shirts and wear a bandana, you don't think that you need to adhere to everything form the 80's yourself, so expecting that Hasbro or filmmakers today have to adhere to a 25 year old style either is hypocritical. |

the power suits look fine if that is for special ops/battle only type of thing. Scarlett looks great.
Snake eyes mouth thing looks weird, but looks okay if it is hidden by the visor in shadows. hawk looks okay, i'd wipe the damn smirk off of his face though. i'm not digging covergirl cammies, it would have been real easy to pull off the tan pants leather jacket button up shirt like in the ddp issues. But at least you know she is a tank driver hence the non battle suit. Storm shadow...umm well if that is the route the wanna go (reloaded) it must be a pain to get the blood stains out. Hopefully this is just his "getting ready to battle" wear and we do see the costume underneath. Baroness...oh boy....my favorite character, and I feel they flopped on this one. I didn't like Miller cast as her in the first place: she has got brown hair..blech (it is obvious in comics she has black, could they not find a black wig? Sunglasses?? .....the hell?..... are you kidding? They must be battling outside during the day alot, do you think they are prescription sunglasses? jeez.... There is no cobra sigil, but I can understand because it is the "rising" of cobra. and the boots, obviously they are trying to make her look taller with platform wedge heels, but she does not look like the person that can walk around in 4-6 inch heels, I bet she has to practice. The wedge just looks a little goofy. The rest looks alright, it isn't too hard to mess up a black leather outfit. |

I am digging everything except for snake eye's mouth... im not sure how his suit works.. it seems to be like venoms symbiot outfist where it covers everything except his mouth... but IS his mouth... weird.. oh and storm shadow, i kinda want a ninja to look like a, you know, ninja, but thanks to the wachowski brothers and jet li any one who knows martial arts gets a leather coat, except they forgot that white leather looks dumb, he looks like he should have a makeover show on BRAVO or somethin.
Also, to all the naysayers out there saying this will rape there childhood, get over it. Things you remember from 25 yrs ago will never be as cool as they once were. The toys from 1984 arent as cool as we want to remember, the cartoons had massive flaws that we overlooked and forgot about, and movies that get made or revisited 25+ yrs later always fail short of our expectations, for most people the prequal sw movies fell really short, transformers fell short, the joe movie will fall short, for others, they'll love it. either get over it now or dont bother spending $10 on a movie ticket to see the movie. Hasbro wont care, the movie studio wont care, the actors wont care, thats sadly life. Oh and btw... the live action he-man movie sucked when it came out in the 80s and the show was still on. and yet most of us here probably loved it and still do, these movies, plain and simple, arent made for the 25+ yr old fan, and what little kids think is cool now is NOT what we thought was cool back then. |

I don't mind the power suits for some of it, but I like the traditional costumes too. No traditional costumes means no nostalgia factor, which sucks to me. I liked a lot of the Transformers movie because they used nostalgic references and classic color schemes.
Let's hope they listen to us about the costumes because there is still time to fix things at this point. |

Not liking the wardrobe too much....seems the budget ran out or something. If it is early pre-JOE, i can understand no symbol's on both sides. If Snake-Eyes is post-accident, then he cannot talk, it would ruin the whole film, period. I don't have a problem with the contemporary suits, ideas, and even some of the casting, BUT...but, but, but, the ideas and confirmed notions about the details of the movie have me super-disappointed already. It's not looking good to me.
