I wish I knew who all of these artists you keep mentioning are. What I'm hoping for is that the stylized...um...style will draw in the kiddies and a great story will draw in the big kiddies (us). |

His pants look Resolute, but his torso seems out of proportion. I'll be interested to see how this figure translates to an action figure - the problem with the way it looks may be simply a factor of the style of animation. I'm hopeful that the figure will look more normal; the color scheme isn't really that terrible. It's not the end of the world.
Have we seen any other Renegade character pics?

Based on this wall alone, I'd be more inclined to watch that Powerfuff-Girl-looking My Little pony.

I think alot of people here are having problems with the "stylization" of the character. It's a very toned down version of the TF animated style, or closer to Clone Wars. Which is something I think many on here have been fearful of because we already know that PoC is going to be very short lived and then the toys are going to follow the cartoon model. I remeber reading more then a few comments stating how they hope the cartoon won't look like this, and that they hope the toys won't either. Well, they will. Like it or not. Hasbro wants Joe to survive and to do that it needs to stay hip and modern. So here's what you get. Personally, I kind of dig it. Artistically, it could have been ALOT worse. As long as the writing is solid I'll be happy.
As far as Snake Eyes himself, nothing I hate more then ninjas in Joe. If they are starting out with SE talking I would have rather seen him as Commando SE first, then after the accident, maybe he could go all "mystic ninja nonsense". That being said, it's not a knock against the cartoon. Just my personal view. Ninja-Visor SE is well established, and recognizable, so that's what we get. While I understand that many here may be worried about what this will do to the toyline in terms of design, I'd be more worried about what will happen to the entire brand if they don't do this. While RoC made money, I don't think it had any lasting power with todays kids. This cartoon, if well written, could be the shot in the arm Joe needs to survive another 25 years. As long as the writing is good, I'm on board. I'm really looking forward to sitting down and watching this with my kids. I could get behind the whole "SE becomes ninja" if it happens like you say. He's a bad-ass operative, gets wounded and the whole ninja-zen master-martial arts thing is how he gets beyond the psychological issues.
