Sidenote: This means G.I. Joe is going strong at it's own level, which probably guarantees at least two years of Classified releases in the future, where the creators are possibly knee-deep in next years plans. Also this article reflects on the fact that G.I. Joe and probably some other toy lines are still on the back burner of the whole portfolio, with generally no power to turn the tides if something utterly devastating happens. But we can at least enjoy some more goodies in the foreseeable future. |

Until the franchise brands like Marvel & Star Wars start doing better it will not matter how good the other levels of brands perform. They are always at the risk of cutbacks. The group Hasbro lists GI Joe under only accounts for 9% of total revenue.

playskool heroes was the best little kids line they had. it works great with imaginext, which is still going pretty strong.
im nearly done with the insane pile of imaginext and playskool i got for my son. when he's 7/8 he'll start getting his star wars figures. all of this was bought when prices were better. instead, hasbro raises them and then does all kinds of corporate speak to not admit that they're making bad choices when they're not making their goals. i love it. please continue. |
