From ToonZone:
Comedy Central's development slate for 2010–2011 includes three new animated comedies and the return of Futurama, the network announced yesterday. The titles are "JC", "Joe Squad", & "Supermax." "Joe Squad" parodies G.I. Joe and like-minded superhero cartoons as a team of elite fighters tries to save the world from the inept Master Snake and his Rattlers while not getting on each others' nerves. Characters include the sex-obsessed team leader, the clean-cut American, the silent ninja, the "Schwarzeneggerian female" and other nods to the genre. The series comes from Blake McCormick of King of the Hill. More from Viacom: "Joe Squad" In the vein of classic Saturday morning superhero cartoons, like "G.I. Joe" and "Jonny Quest," the Joe Squad is the most elite fighting squad hell-bent on saving the world. Led by sex-obsessed Captain Falcon, the team consists of Auburn, the stunning, red-headed sexy-librarian-type, Berserker, the heavyset mustached goof, Big Jersey, the chiseled overly-tanned douchebag, Butchley, the freakishly Schwarzeneggerian female, Brick House, the insanely jacked African-American Muslim, Dutch, the clean-cut All-American good guy, and Lone Wolf, the masked and mysterious mute ninja. When these guys are not trying to save the world, they're getting in each other's way and on each other's nerves. Fortunately for Joe Squad, their nemesis Master Snake and his team of Rattlers are just as inept. This animated action-comedy comes from writer Blake McCormick ("King of the Hill") and executive producer Marty Adelstein ("Made of Honor"). |

^^^ Thanks brother!! This one came out of the blue, & I'm wondering how Hasbro will feel about it, judging by what is typical Comedy Central "content" loosely attached to their brand.

Sounds like my kind of thing. hopefully it wont be done as one of those flash-animated-type cartoons. Think we have enough of those.

^ Yeah flash animation has it's ups & downs & alot of times is cheaply made in the US so it wouldn't surprise me.
There are some good flash animation cartoons done currently though, check out Canada's "Producing Parker", that show has nicer animation, is smarter, & with better content than 95% of the other adult sitcoms on US TV right now. Also Spike TV's "Archer" is a step in the right direction. |

Gawd I wish I still had Comedy Central. Bad enough I have to watch new South Park online, instead of on the big screen. I'll definaetly check this out when I get the chance.
