Hrmm, the feister cover is really really bad. The internal art isn't much better, but man i am still shocked by how bad that cover is (considering a guy was paid money to draw it). The layout of the cover with the question mark and whatnot is interesting, but someone should have ponied up the cash for a decent artist.
If it's me you're slamming, that's fine. This cover was an experiment for me. One I think was successful. If you look back at the previous 10 covers you'll see it's quite different in it's execution. I'm very happy with the cover. I think it's strong in concept and in execution. I'll continue to grow and expand with each piece, and six months from now I'm sure I'll see things I'd do differently, but for now I think it's one of the stronger covers I've done. Clearly you feel differently. At the very least I hope you'll edit your post to reflect the correct artist and their work. Remember that the people who work on these books do so out of love of comics and desire to do the best work we can. Trust me, no one is getting rich doing comics. Best, Tom |

It was an interesting issue. Not one of the strongest and I was really hoping for something....I don't know, big... out of Beachhead's amenesia. Don't like how he was given the name of Beachhead either, cause he was found face down on the beach.
I always envisioned him given the name cause that's what he would do, be a one man beach head and secure the field for the rest of the unit. Just figured that the one character they made a point, multiple times, of saying has amensia, he would have had something else be the catalyst for it.
