I'd get the Destro set for an extra chrome Destro head, but that's probably it.

I'm a collector of 12" RAH figures, and I think these new ones are great! I think the new Neo-Viper looks awesome--way better than the first version. I like to buy several of the troopers to give Cobra a better balance against all the Joe characters, but I only ever bought one Neo-Viper and Coil Crusher figures. Of course I'm disappointed if these are really the last 12" figures to be released, but I'm also glad to have limits to my collecting. I was excited to see the prototype Stalker, Gung-Ho, and Crimson Guard, so I wasn't happy to learn the line was canceled. I sure hope these figures are released somehow.
As for the 3 3/4" figures, I agree with everybody here. I think these will appeal less to collectors (for obvious reasons) than they might with regular kids (provided they're not as expensive as the WM SW 2-packs). |

the gi joe line was built on diversity, the diversity of its charaters, and their uniqueness. i am getting sick of seeing the same figures over and over again. look at the numbers from 1982-1989 there were only 4 different versions of snake-eyes. from 2002-2009 there have been 37 different snake-eyes. this is over the same time period, and this is ridiculous. i love the concept of the "then and now" packs but the execution is horrible once again. hasbro's response is we will always see core characters in every wave because thats what sells. well its what sells because that all they offer. i have to pass on these simply because there is nothing new and exciting here.

knowing is half the battle right?
I don't like half the stuff I post... but that's not why I post it. heheheheh. I like what I have... the mock ups... I won't be buying the finished versions (unless they are leaked and cheap). but once they're on the shelves... nah. they shall remain. these are not my cup'o'tea. dear hasbro... you want people to buy these... I mean like everyone? take a step back (no no... further)... sort out like a nightforce "POC" Helix... then do an o-ring RAH style Helix... THAT is fresh. you want to do classics? then stop issuing classic dudes like Firefly as TRU exclusives... (new characters like bench press etc... fine... or army builders...fine... but core characters as exclusives kinda block a Firefly set from happening). what's that??? you want to appeal to older fans and newer ROC fans? fine. but there's a handy dandy saying called 'best of both worlds.' have faith in your product AND the demand. just sayin. (cue the nay-sayers and anti-"whining" patrol).

I like um. I dig the 'then and now' stuff. I'd have gotten the rock slide if I liked the vehicle more. if they do a ferret with the twins I'll be all over it.
I'll defiantly get these then and nows as long as they're not stupid expensive.
