The original continuity is back!!
RyallTime FCBD-gijoe-CVR+final.jpg (image) My only fear is that it ignores what DDP did, That would be a tragedy and a mistake IMVHO If it doesnt contradict what DDP did Ill definately be back to reading comics again. Im hoping it fills in the 7 year gap kind of thing and bridges the two series If it does contradict what DDP did then ill be on the fence on whether to buy it or not. Lets hope the RED SHADOWS come back one way or the other!

Also Hasbro owns all the G.I. Joe comic stories and licenses the rights to whatever company they see fit to handle the publishing of new and old stories. http://www.amazon.com/G-I-JOE-Specia..._bxgy_b_text_b This link above^ doesn't say it will be published by IDW, but I'm sure it will be just like the link you provided will be. They have the Joe license... Not Marvel, Image,or DDP Unless you think Hasbro would let Marvel, Image, and, DDP each publish the stories they created... no they wouldn't, but I'm sure you know that. |

Right, I know that is coming from IDW. I was disputing where troynos said that IDW doesn't have the right to reprint DDP stuff. That link does show that it is published by IDW. Issues 1-5 of the DDP/Image run published by IDW.

however i would be surprised they'd do another joe comic in a dif continuity then they are already doing. it seems counter productive.
they have been working so hard at building a new universe it seems kinda crazy to go back to the original run, ESPECIALLY now since the new movie is already out. i could have seen them doing this BEFORE the new movie came out. i have been really liking the new IDW universe so even though i am excited about this comic i really just am confused by it |
