The will probably go back into a heavy marketing campaign around the DVD's release RoC that is! I don't see much of the 25th line moving with the younger kids. They can't identify with figures that are nearly 20 years older than they are or old cartoons with horrible animation compared to whats available today.

I keep seeing the word 'clearance'...just exactly how do those of you who utter the word, er type it actually think a clearance will take place?
ROC and POC are too similar to clearance ROC in favor of POC. You will likely see a sale, but clearance will be a term I would reserve for the end of the line... Which certainly does seem to be coming near. Indiana Jones anyone??? I'll add that K-mart has figures for 6.99, and that is shocking. Kmart below other retailers?? |

Well I see it as clearance fodder since they clearanced out all of the 25th line. I am not certain what causes that but in discussions in the past people have said when lines change DCPIs and what not they end up taking up shelf space and are clearenced out to make room for the new stuff as the line looses money and takes up valuble shelf space. As witth he 25th line not being side by side with ROC and having totally different merchandsing and packge looks than the 25th, ROC pushed out the 25th as I suspect PoC will with it's newer style of card art and DCPIs/SKUs?Case assorments etc will do to ROC..

Walmart has clearanced their figures in the ME to 5.00 and they are gone or going. Target has clearanced their figures in the ME to 3.98 and they are gone. Just because the Barcodes change doesnt mean that they will be clearanced...it's the decision of the retailer...and POC and ROC look very similar in appearance. Hasbro may have indicated to the retailer, "hey we got some new product, clear out your old product" and that triggers the clearance...I strongly disagree that Target, Walmart, nor TRU will clearance ROC items when POC comes in, they will simply sell through and order the newer product. But again...if it ever happens. This crap aint selling so it's gonna be a while...and if we do see a clearance, count on it going down Indy style. |

I have yet to see my local Target stores stocked with newer ROC figures such as Paris Pursuit Baroness, Arctic Snake Eyes, Arctic Threat Storm Shadow and Reactive Armor Ripcord.
Does any of this mean that they will never show up at my local Target stores? I'm also waiting on Charbroil and the black Para Viper as well.

What sickens me is that there are guys out there with nothing better to do than to skunk you at the Wally world! HTS is where I got the ones that mattered to me...I still have hopes that it will clear out and new will filter in and stick to the pegs longer than the life span of a gnat...that still remains my wish. |

For example, waves 1 and 2 were at Target and TRU about the same time but then Target started getting spotted as having the wave 3 figures before TRU. Now TRU is getting the wave 4 figures ahead of Target and I don't believe any wave 5 figures have been spotted at retail.

TRU is selling the previous ME figures along side ROC at 7.99, they have clearanced or are in the process of clearancing the 5 Packs from ME. They are not selling.

But again...if it ever happens. This crap aint selling so it's gonna be a while...and if we do see a clearance, count on it going down Indy style. As for all of the ME/25th stuff still side by side, I also only see that at TRU. If I find any comic packs or singe figures at Walmart it's usually over in Home and Gardening in the clearance section. Not one Walmart have I seen any ME/25th stuff still stocked with ROC or anywhere near it. Point is they are clearanced stuff that should have been gone by the end of Christmas last year. Some of the retailers have hung on to them way to long hoping ROC would have pushed them away at higher retail prices which didn't happned. They only just recently started lowering prices on the 5 pack and DVD packs suff at TRU after liquidating tons of the Firefly/CG/dvd packs packs at Ross type retailers and such and still hoarding them at 24.99 till recently. The figures used to be 4.98 a pop till ROC came out and they jumped back to 6.99-7.99 at TRU. I strongly feel PoC will not be side by side with ROC stuff. It will absorb the entire ROC line until the sequal figures come out as far as carded art and merchandising will go. At that point it will be almost over a year since ROC and will be the last thing on shoppers minds. It will also will be similar to what they did with transformers, star wars and even with the ME/25th cards and unifying all universes into one line of toys and will carry the "pursuit of cobra" logos but will have a sticker saying "as seen in the ROC movie" or something to that effect like the "GI JOE comic" or "GI Joe cartoon" stickers on 25th/ME cards.

Target might have a $4.99 sale with ROC like they did with the ME stuff back in Jan. they did this in my area. but I don't see a clearance happening anytime soon. Going from ME to ROC is like going from apples to oranges
