See, I'll always want A Flagg, not just because it's a GI Joe Playset, but for sentimental reasons. Though I went Army myself, before that I was a Merchant Marine, and a second generation one at that. My father sailed from 1974-2016, and I grew up on freighters literally the size of aircraft carriers. Large ships feel like home to me, and the Flagg is where life and hobby can meet. Right now, I don't want to take "play" space from my son, but I am determined to have one eventually. The problems are...
So hard to get a COMPLETE one for a decent price. I'm not afraid to settle for 3D printed replacements, but those can add up in price too These things are older than most professional athletes, and if THEY'VE worn out, I don't know how much I trust that plastic. If Mattel was able to justify an 2024 Eternia Playset, which I feel is less remembered than a Flagg, then I'm sure Hasbro COULD justify a new Flagg, especially if improved. "Could" of course, does not mean "will," or even "should." I'd rather buy a brand new one, If I could. But if it never materializes, oh well.

I always thought of the Flagg as a sort of vehicle/playset hybrid. It's a centerpiece for sure for any collection and I'd kill to have one if I had room or a space for one.
I had a good friend offer me his (loose but complete) for $500 about 5 years ago but I had to turn it down. He had a ton of Joe toys from his childhood in great condition for sale at good prices. I only knew one person that had one growing up (one of my older brother's friends who had every toy imaginable). I remember one time he actually lugged that thing outside to his swimming pool so we could have a huge GI Joe battle. I still remember his dad sternly telling him "you better not put that thing in the pool" LOL!!
