I've really been hoping they'd make either a 7" vinyl or a cassette tape of the original song as soon as I saw the figures.

This new version of the song sucks though. It just seems kinda half-assed and somehow even cheesier than the original cartoon version.

What do you think a Cold Slither Zandar (in Classified or O-Ring) would look like? Been hoping for one since 2011, when Clold Slither Zarana was released. Without Zandar.

Just buy a second Zandar, take the vest off, and add a 1/12 scale fabric shirt.

I find it both amazing and disheartening how much advertising money Hasbro is putting into the Cold Slither set to generate hype; considering that the vast majority of us who want this set probably won't be able to actually purchase it except on the secondhand market at double or triple the price.

What makes you think that? Every SDCC has been easy to get thus far. You know it's coming, it will be available sometime in July, either at SDCC or on Pulse after.

You have 4 months' notice that something is going to drop, that's good info, shouldn't be stressful.

Not to mention marketing spend lifts the specific item as well as the brand. Oreo promoting whatever their weirdo flavor of the month is (Post Malone?) is a well known marketing strategy that both sells the specific product but *also* adds lift to the overall brand. Time and again brands that dive into line extensions sell more of the original product as well. It's not like it takes away from marketing for Classified.

Judging by the post-preorder whinefests, I think a lot of people expect Hasbro to call them personally to reserve a piece or two specifically for them. Especially those who claim to have zero interest in the item, miss the preorder, procrastinate until the relists sell out, then threaten to offload their collections over missing it.
