That being said, the quality of art in the Joe Skybound universe isn't to a level that I'm interested in reading any issues that rely only on art.

I loved it as a kid and still do. But I agree, the art has to be up to snuff - not just in the fidelity but in the framing and composition, all of it has to come together thoughtfully for the concept to work.


Also, the moment I saw a promo including Roadblock as one of the character choices I was 90% sure they wont pull it off - but now I am dreadfully curious.

Maybe there's still hope for a more definitive hardcover. One that includes the toy pack-in book "Silence Between Borders" (even though it's really not very good) and the Silent Prelude that I don't think has ever been reprinted. Also, the Action Force stories that lead in and follow up the issue. It'd be so cool to have all that in one book.

(I also absolutely love the more modern silent story included that was drawn by Joe Benitez....one of my favorite artists. He's criminally underrated.)

I gave one to my son a few to friends and then a closet Gijoe collector/fan I worked on a side job with a few years ago it was weird how i happened to find out he was a fellow fan ..

I?m still not even sure i remember how i found out about it unless it was by sheer luck I don?t buy a ton of comics when did that come out 2016-2017 I don?t even remember anymore the coloring is straight 80?s but I do enjoy looking @ it from time to time
