Was messing around with the Fire Team figures and some other fodder and created an Anti-Armor trooper. Figured it would make sense for an Anti-Armor trooper to take cues and gear from Scrap Iron.

Thought it turned out pretty good.

Fantastic. Wish the Fire Team would drop in price, want a set to open but $80 is still too rich.

Thanks man, and ya, I would definitely pick up another set if they reduced the price a bit. You get some really good parts for kitbashing. And, since there's really no precedent for these figures, I feel less inclined to display them as is. They can kinda be whatever I want them to be because there's no nostalgic precedent.

Not sure why they're reluctant to discount this set but it was totally cool to put the Crimson Strike set on deep clearance.

$40-50 would have me thinking real hard about doubling down.

If they released a two-pack of a male Strato-Viper and Raven, I would probably buy three of said two-packs.

They should do the same thing for a retro Range-Viper and Evy. I would buy several of that as well.

I'd buy another one for a discounted price. I LOVE the trooper in that set that is mostly red with the black helmet.

The helmet is Scrap Iron's iconic headgear, so IMHO he's a 'Scrappy joins the HISS Fire Team' custom, which is totally cool with me.

The lack of any solid Joe news, renders, pre-orders etc. is probably down to the silly season.
Many large corporations close down for the Christmas/New Year period, some even have compulsory use of vacation/holiday leave over this time.
My un-ed-jah-mah-cated guess is that Hasbro wouldn't be any different.
Also the Hasbro bean counters and management put a large dose of Drain-O though the rank and file not that long ago, probably still shuffling personnel and re-filling roles.
Worse still, soon we'll get a 'double-whammy' with a drought of physical releases because the whole of China moves into a 'shut-down' over the Lunar New Year period.
Usually about a 16 day closure of most of the country from late JAN through middle FEB. :(

I couldn't find the 788 Fire Team set anywhere except ebay scalpers with astronomical asking prices.
Then I noticed BBTS had it as a 'scratch n' dent' box at RRP, so I bought them.
Looks like the box got squished on the storage shelf or was someone's return after shipping damage, but I open and display my Classified.
My gubbermint added 10% import tax onto the cost with airmail, sucks to be an Aussie Classified collector.

I wonder if Hasbro released the Chuckles figure in the way they did with some sort of Market research aim in mind for a possible Chuckles Movie.

Or was that idea gotten rid of as soon as Snake Eyes Origins came out ?

I think if there is one thing Classified does much better than Operation Monster Force it is the moulded in colour hands and faces... as Declan looks a little odd when placed next to many other figures due to his painted face being really matt in it's finish.
