Mentioned this in the Heavy Duty thread, but it just happened to Darklon too so I figured I'd drop it here as well.

The metallic paint issue has seemingly affected both of these releases; the knives will get stuck in the sheathes if left inside for too long and will result in paint stripping once removed. I haven't bothered to sheath Darklon's sword for longer than a minute or two, so it's unaffected, but it did affect the dagger. Super disappointing.

Just received Blowtorch, Darklon, and Frag Viper from Amazon.

Spent a good hour unboxing all three and enjoying new figures which we were desperately needed.

First impressions all 3 are fantastic, and they all articulate beautifully. Much smoother than previous figures. not sure if I just got lucky or if this is a good sign for future figures to come.

Darklon is the standout of the 3 in my opinion. He's really badass. No notes.

Classified has made me care about Blowtorch much more than I ever did previously. The updates they did to the color scheme really elevate the design for me. I had no issue getting him into some good stances despite the lack of boot cut. I just hope this doesn't become the norm.

Frag Viper is also fantastic, I love the cyborg unmasked head, lots of storytelling possibilities there. The helmet also looks great. I'll stick to only 2 of these but I'm tempted to get more. My only nits with the frag viper are how ugly the knees look when articulated. The black deco doesn't continue within the joints and really breaks up the design. I wish there was some way they could have mitigated that. The other nite is the hose / chute for the grenade sling. I wish there was a way this could hang more naturally. Given the rubbery plastic used, it sticks out quite a bit and makes the figure a lot bulkier than necessary. It's probably an unfair criticism, but I wish it could be tucked in easier.

I noticed that in the promos, was hoping they'd fix it for release. Blowtorch's paint carries all the way through, so I wonder why they didn't do it for Footloose and the Viper

It's my understanding from one of their past streams (Covergirl?) that Hasbro does this to prevent potential lawsuits over names, but they did say that so far nobody has brought challenges so it's obviously working for them.

I'm guessing Super7 is just risking it or hasn't thought of it yet.

I'd argue the only A-lister missing would be a Retro Snake Eyes that's on a par with Retro Duke and Scarlett.

Th other obvious one is the version two of the popular bad guy.

Destro is also A-list, but for the most part everyone seems satisfied with his figure. Definitely the stand-out of the very first Classified wave. But he could arguably be more "Retro." His limbs could be updated to be pinless. They could attempt a vac-metal head, but I suspect in order to do that it would need to be more angular like the original vintage card art.

Missing B-level guys would be Flash, Ace, Airtight, Lifeline, Mainframe, Sci-Fi, Wet-Suit....it's actually amazing how the vast majority of 1982-1986 figures have already been made!
