The Impel cards are still great to see after all these years. I'm glad I've kept my set.

Crystal Ball needed a shake-up, to be sure, away from the Doc Strange/Kraven and lunatic Walmart Rasputin, away from Cobra-la, but hopefully he isn't too much like Scarecrow either. He's probably a figure that will benefit from having no file card.

When I went looking for this yesterday before it was posted, I read his file card, which specifically talks about his parents and where they hail from. I think this just provides a different take on the character that people can adopt, much in the same way that Cobra Commander has been depicted as a denizen of Cobra-La or a former Vietnam officer or a brilliant but fed-up used car salesman.

Yeah, was thinking the same thing last night when I was posting the pic of the Impel card. I'm using the original file card as a base for my CB's canon, mixed in with some of the IDW stuff.

It's funny. I sometimes forget that Cobra-La is just the name of an ancient civilization and not a place like Shangri-La where semi-immortals also live in a hidden Himalayan valley. Or is it?

Agreed! I never dug anything Eco-warriors -> and on. Today, I find myself wanting thing like mythic, and cosmic legions, monster force, etc. but i want more stuff like that in-universe, than out. The thing is it's a figure in the end and we all have head cannon. I had no need for the vamp/stinger, as a kid as I saw non-stop hummers on every base I lived on, and its all i could see when i looked at them. People love them though, so they should be made.
I think Its great what the guys keep cooking up. a part of me worries about things like the Night Creeper Leader. I hated his color scheme when I was young, but I may end up loving it now! I'd even go for a release of "The VVviper" in toy form. give him a mop bucket and a telephone witha shadowy corner to make the call from. Dlx for $35.00

Heheheh. I’d be ALL OVER a Classified Robo-J.O.E. I can only imagine it would be a ridiculously kick-ass toy. The weird late-stage ARAH stuff is exactly the stuff that has never really gotten a chance to shine. Like we get v2 Snake-Eyes of some sort every time Joe gets rebooted, but Ninja Force Snake-Eyes? Ahhh, THAT would be something that has never been done right yet at all. I was still “in” at the end of ARAH and a lot of those designs were amazing, just hampered by gun-trees and spring-launch missiles and general 90s foolery. That is the stuff I *really* want to see updated this time around.

There is supposedly a rumour that a Direct to Consumer Transformers toy is due sometime, (possibly the Mammoth ; Beast Wars Neo 'Big Convoy') so I have to wonder how long until they do a Gi Joe offering.

So many options. I guess whatever it is it has got to me something they feel comfortable prototyping at least.

Perhaps it even is the rumoured $150 vehicle itself that will be sold this way ?

I tend to think "what would be useful" but not to risky.. hard to get that balance right.. I mean if you ask me i'd say make a Cobra Stun or a Rage.

But someone else might go "ew no".

& Something like a Hiss II or a D.E.M.ON. might be to much of an investment risk and cost to produce for the 1st offering of that kind.

I actually think a early 2000's Humvee would be a pretty sold seller.

The great advantage of selling such a thing that way is that there is nothing stopping them doing as many repaints and remoulds as they feel they can get away with or even offering a version of the mould as a Marvel Branded "Incredible Hulk" tie in instead.

As that is exactly what happened with the smaller one !

I don't think such a vehicle even "needs" to be a set deco either it could be a nice neutral grey and branded as Classified Night Ops, given a fancy Digital cammo pattern like the danger at the docks VAMP II in grey or even Blue (maybe even sold as a vehicle for the Military police or SWAT themed characters) or they could got with Desert but add camo to it.

The possibilities as vast.. and sure it needs a license but I think it is a solid item to do as it would catch attention across multiple brands.
