Not sure if you're old enough to remember, but Manimals reminds me of the one-season TV show called Manimal, about a man who ... well, the title gives it away. I'm not broken up that we didn't get these in the line, but the mindset was obviously at Hasbro, not just Sunbow, not just Super7, etc.

Have not read those yet. Plowing through DDP right now but buying stuff when I see a good price, even if I have got a ways to go before I get to read it. I have gotten a lot of TPB’s but when I find sets at a reasonable price I will snag them.

And I totally should have seen it coming in regards to who the Phoenix Guard really was. #facepalm. Would still make for good figures though.
