Finished up Destro this weekend. Thought her identity was a nice twist. I really like how they have expanded on the Clan tomb. If that's been addressed before in previous runs, apologies. It was new to me.

I read through Destro in one sitting a week or so ago and loved every second of it. Love everything they are doing with the Energon Universe.

Best way to do it. I read issue one then the series sort of slipped my mind and built up. It was really good. I think it and Cobra Commander were my favorites of the Joe limited series'

I read number 1 yesterday and it was…okay. Not great but not terrible. Not a huge fan of the art and definitely didn’t like the ending. Hoping it gets better.

Its not that pencil animation crap that looks all mashed together is it? Probably don't get what I'm talking about a lot of modern comics use it. I miss the days of Todd Mcfarlane, Rob Liefeld, and Robert Atkins.

Rob was referencing Arnold flexing when he drew that notorious image. There's a lot of reasons it didn't work. Here's a great article about it.

I'm not defending Rob's art in general but his logic with this one image actually kind of makes sense when you break it down. The shield is the problem.

Yeah. Compared to the art of today its Van Gogh. Not perfect but basically wouldn't even know Deadpool as he is if not for him. Same with Cable.

I stepped away from Joe for a while after the Haslab Skystriker, abomdonment of 3 3/4 by Emily, and after the Paul Allor woke version of the comics I just had had enough. The one bright spot was the the G.I. Joe book/bag-of-bricks that I backed.

About a week ago I asked ChatGPT to give me a run down on 3 3/4 Joe and was surprised to see Reaction+ from Super7. As I dug in, I saw Energon Universe and found that I missed about a year's worth of new Joe stuff. I've been binging on the energon universe for the last week and reading them in the order they released. I even put together a full spreadsheet of analysis notes for each issue I read so that I could really learn and pick apart the books. It's been a lot of fun.

In a nutshell, I dig it. I like the art style, the stories are well thought out, and the most important thing is it's fun to read and re-read.

I understand it's sort of zoomed in on the Classified toy line, but am hoping we see Super7 get into the vehicle side. I never did get a Cobra Rattler and would love some of that action for me and the young kids in my family.
