Shit, Dee-Jay was my acoustical combat trooper, using soundwaves to jack COBRA shit up while using no ammo. His boots were shock absorbers enabling him to jump across the field using vibrations down from his pack through his suit. Since he came out around the time of Ministry's ascendance in Industrial circles, I had him and Psyche-Out2 tag-teaming their noise to knock entire COBRA platoons down to the ground in sensory-overload delirium. My BF2K team completely dominated the battlefield to Jesus Built My Hotrod.
Deejay can be MFDOOM. |

"Okay figures"? There are some truly GREAT figures from 1988 - 1991! lol

Respectfully disagree, at least partially. There are quite a few very good figures in those last three years of the line. I'll admit a lot of them are pretty meh or sort of lacking, but a lot of the good ones from those years just need some minor changes made for Classified, like better weapons or new color decos or color changes applied. There are some quality designs and figure sculpts from those last few years that are unfortunately overlooked due to their awful colors and over-sized gimmick weapons.

Yeah there are a few solid figures from 1988-1991 true, but they are few and far in between a lot of meh imo. Night viper, night creeper, shockwave, grenadier, v2 stormshadow, night force, repaints, alley viper, range viper, Big Ben, 1991 snake eyes, are definitely solid and of the 83-87 quality. 1992-1994 is trash because of the weapons and the colour decos. Agree on 1988-1994, classified could take some of the better characters and fix the colours weapons and turn a dog character to a decent character. I hope for you all that the classified team will do just that for these characters that you all feel deserve better. Tripwire is a great example of a meh character and figure they turned into someone good. For me I like 83-87 as my gi joe, but I am cool with everyone getting what they want. |

My collection focus is 87-90 but some 91 figures have made their way in.
Lot of great stuff here. |

waitaminit he's not so bad. plus he's got like 9 poa, not including wrists. his head is a great sculpt and the idea of a cyborg being in star brigade is awesome. he preceeds that lt.stone dude who is also a cyborg. cyborg joes are awesome. his name however is not. and it's weird that he's like a mix of "mascot character" and "who the hell is this guy?"
The orange specs splattered on black paint just looks terrible to me, like there was an error with the paint's spray nozzle lol. Its not a terrible toy, but I think its paint job, bulkiness, swivel shoulders, and T crotch make it a terrible Joe. If I had included ME Joes my list would be full of those terrible vehicles drivers with about the same articulation from GI Joe Retaliation. It would be a good toy in another Toy line but in GI Joe I feel its a really poor toy in a line full of greatness. He looks like he belongs in the Inhumanoids as a member of the Earth Corps and not GI Joe. That said I would still love to see the character concept redone in Classified and would have loved to have gotten him in ME form as a less bulky figure with better paint apps. The Convention kit takes it in the right direction: https://www.yojoe.com/action/convention/robojoe.shtml I'd love to see what the classified team could do with the concept. you're totally right. the paint app is ass. another plus with these star brigade figures is that rock n roll head is a great head sculpt too.

Sounds like I'm the only one who likes Headman. That Pinstripe suit is money.
