I'm conflicted on TF because the figures all look like universal crap with the green and brown included but the vehicles are some of the coolest decos in the whole line because they *don't* have the green or brown on them.

To defend Gobots just a bit, it's kind of cool that they were mostly designed on a single scale instead of a motley mixture of scales like early TF. It's also kind of cool that the car ones can convincingly "disguise" as Hot Wheels cars. I can't count how many times I've seen Gobots hiding in a barrel of old 1/64 scale stuff at flea markets and antique stores. Really makes the whole "Robots in Disguise" thing work. But neither TF or Gobots is my thing, so whatever. |

We couldn't afford Transformers so we had Gobots. I freaking loved them and their AT-AT base thingy

Cross Country: That punchable face combined with an aggressively dumb vehicle was just more than I could bear.
Sgt Slaughter: The figure's fine and I'm not against dumb gimmicks, but I was tired of his schtick after the first 10 minutes of "Arise, Serpentor, Arise!" and then he just kept showing up. The Poochy of GI Joe. Python Patrol Crimson Guard: What part of "Crimson Guard" don't you understand, Python Patrol? The ugliest of an ugly subline. Dee Jay: Like an off-brand bootleg figure managed to sneak into official Hasbro packaging. Windmill: He just makes me sad.

I actually preferred GoBots, too. Some of them were bollocks in the transforming department like Buggyman or Hans Cuff or even the white Crasher, but I had them all. Crasher is my all-time favorite transforming robot.
I liked that they were smaller. It meant my dad could actually afford them.
