The OG TF crossover is definitely unique. It wasn't written by Larry Hama, so that's the main reason Hawk seems different. I found it to be a very (excessively) wordy series too.

Been reading the compendiums and on number 2. Really like the special missions as haven’t read them Or the yearbook stories before. Like that October guard and firefly is featured heavily in the first few that I have read so far
