Looking forward to it!

The Marvel G.I. Joe run was 155 issues. So, if they're putting approx. 50 issues per volume, they should be able to squeeze them into three volumes.
(Technically, you might say there were 156 issues. At the very end of the run, Marvel put out a special reprint of issue 61 with different art.) Then there are also the spinoffs: Special Missions (28 issues), G.I. Joe Yearbooks (4 issues), Order of Battle (4 issues), G.I. Joe and the Transformers (4 issues), and European Missions (15 issues). If Skybound really wants to go all-in on this, those could fit nicely into an extra volume. |

Staying tuned, I was compilating on finishing my IDW TPB run but seeing those have increased in price tremendously.

The TPBs were pretty damn expensive for awhile and have now completely sold out on Amazon. I'm so glad Skybound is putting out new collections that are affordable. They're a little more than a buck an issue in the compendiums.

I still see them on Amazon but they are major bank for sure, are you saying they are all sold out from Amazon directly at retail?

I had them all on my list and a few days ago when I went to see how insane the prices are on amazon but they were all listed as unavailable. That could just be some 3rd party sellers though.

How do these compendiums tend to affect the original comics' values? Spent a good deal of time and money tracking down good copies over the last few years. Yeah I know "don't collect for profit" blah blah. But no one sets out to throw money away and kinda hoped they'd continue to build value. For anyone heavily into comic collecting, what's your take? I mean I don't think it should vastly affect the usual superheroes. But what's happened with 80s properties?

It would be nice if we got Marvel Omnibus-style hardback collections. This would fit 30-40 issues, but they could potentially fit some extra material in if they have it (Marvel usually reprints the original letter pages with their collections). The omnibuses usually run anywhere from 65 to 125 dollars.

I admit it could be nice to have a couple all-in-one books without having to pull out the og issues. It can be pretty annoying/anxiety inducing trying to navigate around that tape without it sticking where you dont want it!
