My copy just arrived. Haven't even pulled the book out (too busy flipping through the card art and marveling at the g**d*** SIZE of this book).
If you haven't, buy it now. $175 shipped is a tall ask, but this set is absolutely worth it. The care and depth put in here is plainly evident. Don't kick yourself when they're sold out and going for $300 before shipping. Get it now. Enough typing, back to the book!

I backed for two on the first day of the Kickstarter.
No shipping notification yet, not even a "label created" in my Fed-EX's "Advanced Shipment Tracking." Nothing in my spam folder. Hmm. Gonna be a while before these bad-boys make it out west to Oregon. Oh well. Been waiting YEARS for this; What's another week or two... |

Man I want this thing. To this day I still use a Japanese book as reference to Transformers. It will always be way easier than the internet. But 150 is hella money.

I opened mine and attempted to flip through it. Honestly, it is near impossible to hold and page through.
Don’t get me wrong, it is a gorgeous presentation and I am thrilled to have it. However, even trying to pull it out of the slipcase box… the weight of it is causing the hardcover front and back to bow severely. It really makes me nervous it is going to split and break the front and back cover. I almost wonder if it would have been better to break this down to two or three volumes in the slipcase. It is just massive. How are you all planning to look at this or display it? |

I'm inclined to agree. It's gorgeous, but somewhat unwieldy. Splitting it into two volumes in a single slipcase--like the Ralph McQuarrie art book, which is similarly massive--would have made for a better reading experience. But still, it's wonderful. A true labor of love.
They did an incredible job though. |
