The Ultimates crowd and the modern 6inch scale crowd are pretty different from my observations. With Classified, you are likely getting crossover fans with Marvel Legends, Black Series, etc. With the larger scale of Ultimates, strictly cartoon aesthetic, and lack of articulation, I'm not so sure it's the same fan. There is probably crossover, for sure. But I don't buy the idea that if Classified didn't exist, people would buy more Ultimates from them.

I see a ton of toy photography with Classified among many other highly articulated 6inch scale figures. Maybe that is just my algorithm, but I rarely (if ever) see Ultimates figures as the subject matter. It seems their focus for Ultimates was always to make them look good on a shelf, they're not exactly made for posing or play. My two cents at least.

I think both you guys are spot on. Classified just has a broader range of appeal.

Joe Ultimates are bought mostly by folks who grew up watching the toon which is a smaller market.

If you compare the two lines, Ultimates comes across as so much simpler.

Storm stuff is sometimes all over the place. My MK stuff seems more 1/12 while it feels like my KoF, Darkstalkers, Tekken, and SF stuff is 1/10.

As Izzy said, Storm can be weird. I have an NWO Hogan (I need to dump). He's shorter than the Mattel Defining Moments Hogan (they run around 1:10-1:11 scale), but he's considerably broader.

It may be too soon to tell, but I wonder if this recent announcement will lead to the delay/cancellation of the (two) figures they'd said this line would get this summer/year.

Even in the same line they seem strange with sizes. Like the dress Chun-Li is a bit shorter than the regular Chun-Li. The dress one can hang with Classified and not look out of place but the regular issue one is a head taller!

All annoying because I want M. Bison with CC as I had as a kid and yet the size difference is just too much!

Sooooo glad I passed on their SF figs. Jada's killing it. Just hope they get the rest of the Championship Edition figures out.

I'm not sure those specifics were mentioned but I'm fairly sure Mr. Flynn said in a YouTube interview that there'd be two figures revealed this summer and then they'll see if the line continues.

Jada ones feel kinda small compared to Classified. More like TBS sized?

Although having Guile again fighting alongside the Joes is worth any slight size difference.
