I have a decent Ulatimates Tcats collection. I did pick up the Tygra and Cheetara DX. Got Tygra yesterday and other than the lack of the gold paint detailing (which I am going to customize) the DX version is far superior to the Ultimates version, but S7 really screwed the pooch the Tygra Ultimates release.

I don't know if this a fluke, but QC seems excellent on the Tygra figure as well, hoping Cheetara is just as good because the DX looks better than the Ulaimtes.

I am winding down my Tcats collection with Safari Joy and Nayda being my last two figures in that run. I passed on getting the Lunataks. Maybe if they come in the DX version down the road, I'll add them, but overall, the Thundercats line is far superior in QC to the Joe line.

I they would keep the Joe line going in the DX format, it would probably be a huge success. I just can't justify the cost of the Ultimates anymore, especially when BBTS and EE are really jacking up the price on them.

I finally got my Ultimates! Red Laser, he had been sitting in my pile of loot for months. Happy to say there is some new tooling here; mainly the back half of his torso which now includes the pack/holster for the included "hair dryer" gun, a la 1982 cobra commander. Wondering if we might see that as a future exclusive if they decide to continue Joe Ultimates! Also his facemask is new, maybe his lower arms? At least they don't have the gloves that Ultimates! Cobra Commander does but could be reuse from another figure. Accessories are mostly reuse but I don't think we've gotten the hair dryer gun or maybe the rifle before. All in all, an example of what a repaint should look like as opposed to the BBTS exclusive Storm Shadow which I am leaving in the box.

Maybe we'll see the "last" two figures next month?
If they aren't the last two, I wonder who S7 will choose to rejuvenate the line. I'd like to see Serpentor and General Hawk, but they may not be obscure enough for S7.

I got my Red Laser, too. Pretty decent, as far as repaints go. I'm still a bit salty that the line appears to be ending, before we got some heavy hitters, like Firefly, General Hawk, the Dreadnok Trio, and a black uniform Snake Eyes.
