Super7 Ultimates (Could-be the Official) Thread

I feel like the writing was on the wall for new tooling in this line earlier this year when announcements stopped. Since then they've seemingly cleared the deck of exclusive repaints that were already in the pipeline.

Super7's move to $35 Ultimates repacks/repaints is another indicator. I wouldn't be surprised if the next Joe Ultimates release is a stripped down version of what you already have.

But the whole desirable part of them is the extra parts. If it's just a basic figure with less stuff than a Classified figure but for $35 will anyone really want them?

It will depend on the character man. Imagine of its an army builder? Then to buy a bunch of them I must.

Good question. It also doesn't help that Classified is dipping its toes into Sunbow.

The entire Ultimates model seems to be undergoing a facelift. 2025 announcements will be telling.

Yeah, seeing something like Sunbow Cover Girl coming in Classified, IF it's not just a repaint, plus the bear and Snake Eyes set really makes it look like Classified might be jumping into Sunbow.

All I can say is I bought the $35 Monkian and Lion-O from Target. I didn't have the previous versions but I really don't need to pay for all those extra heads and hands, they all just go into a box never to be seen again.

Out of curiosity, how would you rate/rank the Ultimates figures? DB has done a tremendous job polling the Classified figures, but this line seems far more secluded. Do you have a Top 3, Top 5, Top 10 list for the G.I. Joe Ultimates?

Sounds like Joe Ultimates is going to be a thin line with limited releases.

The other thing I would add to BF’s comments are QC concerns. If a Classified fig is jacked then it can be replaced for a bit over $20 but replacing a S7 is more than double that. Now the point isn’t valid if you buy for yourself but what about gifts? That’s where it gets hard.

Almost wonder if this is why Hasbro announced that Sunbow Cover Girl - because Ultimates is basically DOA.
