Can you image how nuts this thing would look in 6" scale :
https://www.3djoes.com/cobra-condor-z25.html A more realistic Aircraft want I guess is this thing : https://www.3djoes.com/mudfighter.html ///// I have to wonder is this a bit to nuts for a Haslab a bit further down the line (like say 5 years?) https://www.3djoes.com/thunderclap.html |

I like the figures in boxes over the retro card backs. I?m not sure how the future of retro will go considering many of the newer characters are pretty close to retro anyway. I did get retro Duke and Scarlet because they were so radically different than the classified version. I passed on the all the previous version except Gung-Ho. It?scool they came out with a new Beach Head for those that did like the first one or get it but I passed. I didn?t see enough of a difference to override the first one.
I would like to see some minor update with Blow Torch,Alpine, etc? |

The way they do Retro card is weird so many obvious Missed opportunities There are so many that they have released so far that should?ve been retro card as their initial release i personally would?ve bought 1 more of many of the ones i already have if they would have put them on retro card to being with , range viper, sgt slaughter, quick kick ,techno viper, Big boa, airborne , dr mindbender ,i liked the card art when i was kid on all of these and as i dont usually keep a lot of cardboard i would have made an exception for the above figures .. I think retro does help w/sales i know 3 people down here that collect classified , and 2 love the retro card 1 is undecided and seeing how many of us on here are buying them along with carousing other sites i think if they dont make boring figures that really have no need to be made again it will be a positive for the line , i realize the pandemic played a huge role in why we were seeing so many baroness/lady jaye ,destro and those figs weren't bad they weren't very good either unlike SS/SE/GH . Its early in the morning and im about to go to work ..

Nothing wrong with her appearance but I have noticed she carries herself differently with the GI Joe stuff than other brands. Like I said something just seems off with her in the last couple of months. Definitely not the same vibes she had two years ago or even last year.
The one thing I feel is lacking across most of Hasbro's brand presentations is "lore knowledge" for lack of a better term. They often focus exclusively on the physical product and don't give any detail about the character the toy represents. I would love to see them add to the reveals by speaking to cool story elements associated with the figures and how certain design choices are call outs to those stories. Even just leaning into the fiction and using consistent names for gear and weapons would go a long way in world building the fiction of the Classified Universe or showing ties to the real world. For example, referring to the HISS"s main weapons as "Diablo Cannons," or when presenting Tripwire with Apsara, they could have spent a quick minute explaining how African pouch rats are being used to locate mines without detonating them, or they could have included bits about Dusty (Ron Rudat) and Tunnel Rat (Larry Hama) being loosely based off people on the original Joe creative team. There are so many cool things going on with the some of these figures and I wish their presentation would lean just a little more into the world of the brand. Given the lack of filecards, gear guides, or blueprints in Classified, I suspect this is a conscious decision, but, as someone who fell in love with the world of G.I. Joe as a kid, I see it as a missed opportunity. |

The Techno Viper is the highlight of the set and even that is just ok. The colors look cool but don't exactly match the HISS Fire Team so he fits in, but still looks a little off from the rest of the team. The red is a slightly brighter shade and I think he should have been black with gray highlights and not the other way around.

Do we think a retro Jinx is possible? I'm not super keen on her loadout here so it might be worth skipping and waiting...

Might be cool. Better for display, cheaper (maybe) too? Quote:
I can't help but get Island of Misfit Toys vibes, here... the PAC/RATs kind of fill that niche anyway, they should just make those!
