My guess is Wave 16 may start shipping out in about 3 or 4 weeks (early/mid June). This is just going off the fact how almost every Classified release has shipped out about 3-5 weeks earlier than the Pulse ETA going back to last summer for Wave 12.

Oh lord, eBay. I'm fighting with them now: sold my Retro Cardback Cobra Commander from the HISS Tank (and a Retro Destro), but USPS *lost my package before scanning it*.
eBay keeps insisting both the buyer and I are covered, but it's in "your case is on hold" hell right now until Sunday AM. eBay will easily cover the buyer in this case, I'm worried they're gonna find a way to f*** me out of my money as well, but most of all I'm deeply sad that one of 26,000 or so limited CoCos is lost to the ether of time. So much bureaucratic stupidity all in this process, it's just agony. |

I seriously thought about getting a table at a Toy Show, but felt like selling online would be more convenient and reach a wider audience.

You would think but once you sell at a toy show or swap and the item is gone, that's it, it's a done deal. There's no worrying about the carrier service, there's no returns or ebay claims. Physically it can be a little more work, but there's a lot less stress mentally.

I dunno, after the last wave shipping early on pulse before amazon and other retailers I think maybe those retailers got pissed about it and had a word with Hasbro. Which might be why wave 16 is shipping at the end of the month on amazon yet if you wanna pre-order torch right now on pulse he ships mid august and if you pre-ordered day 1 on pulse he still ships mid July.

If you sell at a toy show, you are wholly dependent on the attendance of that show, and unless you have experience with them, you don't know until you've done it. I've had shows where my friend sold several thousands of dollars worth of figures, and other shows where he barely sold $50. You also need to invest in better storage, shelving, etc depending on how much you're looking to sell. Plus there's also travel and such. And working a table alone can be tough. But that's not to say it's a bad thing, again my friend has sold several thousands of dollars at bigger comic con events, which made back all his money and then some. Last year about half his sales came from events. Online on the other hand, you have a few issues. While it reaches a larger audience, you're stuck dealing with more competition, as there's far more sites and sellers. You either sell through eBay or Amazon and such, and have them take a large cut of your sell price (I believe about 10-15%, respectively) or you sell on your own site through something like Shopify, which is much more work intensive but you get better rates. This can also be good, but it's something to keep in mind. |

On the subject of what the 2nd Doctor Mindbender could should be.. though personally I like the idea of "Winter Coat" Mindbender as it would complement the Snow theme releases well and add a non-generic character to that theme.
This one isn't to bad : He might fit in OK with the more crazy stuff like Cobra La pretty well. But tastefully handled it could be the equivalent of Battle Armor Cobra Commander only for Dr. Mindbender perhaps. On the downside he is kinda dressed like a Visionaries Character only without the hologram. |
