I keep almost getting that Snake Eyes because every few weeks I keep seeing it on Amazon from secondary sellers for 50ish dollars. It's funny what people consider to be hard to get.

A grail could also be a character we've never seen done (Once a Man Cobra Commander) too.

I collect film scores and I know on the film score forums people refer to scores that have never been released or have only had one crappy release from 30+ years ago and are in need of an update or "expansion" (score released with every track recorded or contains a lot of previously unreleased material) as their "holy grails".

A prime example of this, the score for Ghostbusters 2 had never been released before until a few years ago, so people like myself who wanted to see it released have been waiting since 1989 for it.

But yeah, kind of ridiculous people are calling figures that JUST came out a month ago a "white whale" or a "grail". I think that shows how impatient a lot of people are now days with the internet and online shopping and just the go-go-go, give-me-everything-I-want-and-as-quickly-as-possible world we all live in now. I feel like movie today are the same, or tv shows that dump all at once on streaming. We used to have to wait 3-6 years in-between movie sequels. Now it's 1-3 years tops! We used to have to wait 2-3 years before a movie came on cable or VHS/BetaMax or DVD, now stuff goes up on streaming before it even leaves the theater. We used to have to wait a week or more in-between our favorite weekly shows, now if a show drops all at once you can watch an entire 10-30 episode season of show in a couple of days if you want to.

Nah man. I get it. It would drive me crazy too.

There's this dude I sub on YT. Love his reviews. When describing a headsculpt/portrait he refers to it as a "Head Portrait". It makes me want to rage post LOL

Almost all CDs and a couple handful that are digital files only (the GI Joe score for the Sunbow cartoon from a few years back is one of those digital only albums I have). The Mondo 2-LP '89 Batman Elfman release (purple cover, one record is yellow, the other is green) from a few years back that had some previously unreleased material only available on that release is the only vinyl I have in my score collection. I picked up a turntable so I could record the files and remaster them and dump them onto my flash drives and stuff.

Yeah that's annoying when someone just blasts through Target or Walmart and picks up a variety of whatever new Classified, Legends, Vintage Collection, Origins or Funko Pop stuff is on shelves and is like "Grail finds!"

I dont know which of those posts is worse , and i dont mean you @ all just the op those are the worst kind of people IMO and if you were to say something to them on reddit about its not really a grail you would be down voted into oblivion because of the ignorant hive mind mentality that is on that site . I saw somebody had posted on there a long time go. I got my grail today and it was a figure that was out like three months before that. And he wrote the whole meaning of what a grail was hard earned ,long time wanted ,effort spent yada yada yada . Yep its a grail ..

Its worse than annoying , i would post a find every now and again while i was @ work in on reddit 4 or so years ago and people would always be like why did you buy 2 of that or oh you?re working what target do you work @ thats the mentality you deal with on reddit if you buy more than one yore a scalper , you bought it before i knew about or saw it youre a scalper , you bought it when i wasnt there youre a scalper , i buy 2 of almost everything including a lot of food when we shop . 2 lbs of bacon why not 2 gallons of mill sure whatever else .
