Agreed and some are sitting on ebay so its not like there are another 10,000 potential buyers out there i would go for 5 more i underestimated how much i would like the ferret and want more of them drastically ..

True, but I don't think they met the demand so in this case they lost potential sales. People paying $100 for 1 on the secondary may have bought 2 or more retail from Pulse.

This wasn't like the VAMP where preorders were up for weeks or months before selling out. It happened within a few hours.

That's still quite a long period. It'd be an entirely different story had it been a few minutes. What's next? Demanding preorders be postponed until payday? It's not Hasbro's fault if someone's on the fence about something and it sells out before they decide.

I was surprised the ferret sold out as quick as it did . Im glad i got my order in but damn i should've ordered more of em ..


Anybody else have a regret about not preordering enough of a figure/vehicle mine would be ferret/range vipers .. ugh

This isn't surprising to me at all. The Trouble Bubble is a more iconic GIJoe vehicle and came with a classic (some might also say iconic) troop builder in the Tele-Viper.

Not too mention it is way easier to display a pair of Trouble Bubbles than it is a pair of ATVs.

My guess is that they both made more and sold more Trouble Bubbles, and that neither of those numbers played a significant role in how many Ferrets they made.

There's a market there for more ferrets, but it's a question of if there's enough of a market for a hasbro sized run of product.

Classified is very popular, but it does seem to have a ceiling in sales.

Yup. And having an item like that sitting at Ollie's is great for the clearance holdouts, but cost-prohibitive for the manufacturer. That's how lines die and corporate toy companies invest budgets elsewhere, where it's more profitable.

I think it was gone by 5pm est that day which may be long by some standards. But realistically it was short for the average person with other things going on.

People would still be FOMOing even if it was up for a couple weeks to be fair. But I don't see how anyone can deny this was an unusually short run for a Classified vehicle that wasn't a convention exclusive. And literally the only Classified vehicle that didn't go up a second time before archived.

Yeah and Hasbro has been pretty public about trying to prevent another flood of product at Ollie's and other discount retailers. They're actively trying to correct the consumers price expectations. $5 Classifieds are great but they're just not realistic in a real market, first run scenario.
