Yeah I'm surprised they haven't done Zartan's vehicle yet, seems like a no-brainer now that we're getting stuff like the Stinger. I don't even need the "trash bin" but it would be a cool feature.

Definitely a good / interesting way to think about it. I'm not sure what bucket I would fall into.

I just know when I would play as a kid, things were much more serious and high stakes than anything I saw in the cartoons (I never read the comics). I was fueled by action movies as a kid, so my adventures included everything from nuclear weapons, to chemical warfare, human experimentation, etc. My Joes definitely KILLED Cobras.

With that in mind, it could be why I enjoy Classified so much. It's like they took these dopey looking O-Ring figures (as a kid they looked great, but looking back, they don't hold up for me, just my opinion, don't kill me) and took them seriously. They sized them up, added more detail, gave them a real world feel and turned them into mini pieces of art.

So ya, maybe I fall into the "wanting these things to grow up with us" category. But my imagination around the characters doesn't feel that much more advanced than the adventures I was cooking up as a 10 yr old.

If they released a new Zartan and Swamp Skier I'd buy that. But if they do I'd like to see a few revisions on Zartan. Nothing drastic. Just a few things to set it apart and make it worth it to me.

I'd like to see them redo some of the retros since most of the early ones were just repaints. Zartan (new sculpt) and skier in the ARAH style packaging would be great. Color change on both preferably.

I'd like the chest armor and thigh pads to have some color-shift paint to emulate the old stickers then a thick clear top coat. Also would like the shoulder armor design revised and use same attachment gimmick as Night Creaper. I would LOVE new armored boots that resembled the ARAH/ME versions too. I think everything else is great. I love the portrait, cowl and the rest of the figure.

I'm honestly curious what the deal is with the swamp skier. Seems like that would have been done with the 1st or 2nd version of Zartan, yet we have 3 repaints of him with no skier. They gave Baroness a motorcycle out of the blue but couldn't give Z the small vehicle he originally came with.

I wouldn't mind Heartwrencher with the Swamp skier.. better that than being forced to buy another Zartan meedlessly.

Maybe the vehicle price point could allow them to source some cloth overalls for her too (as unlikely as that seems).

If they revised Zartan even a little like I mentioned it wouldn't be needless for me. It would be a must. I'd be a little irritated if I "had" to buy Heart Wrencher because, I just don't care about that character. However, if they released the Skier with a Cold Slither version of Zarana I'd do that.

Love the concepts here. As an long-time fan of pro-wrestling, I think of the ideal show as a variety show; there's something for everyone on a given show (or there should be). Tell stories of varying emotions; tell drama, make sure a match has lots of comedy, etc.

Overall, though, there's something for everyone, but not everything is for someone, necessarily. Learning that lesson has helped curb me of some of the more toxic traits of fandom - if I didn't like something before, it was a capital-p Problem. Someone screwed up, the entire program was stupid. Now? I just realize it was meant for someone else.

So that applies to toys, too. If I don't like it, try to temper my emotions by thinking it was meant for someone else to enjoy (and hope that those people do, in fact, enjoy it).

...still doesn't explain Falcon's first head. ;)
