Another idea might be to mash up a cart racer with Micro Machines and make a combat racer of some sort, maybe even one where they are still actually toys. Such a concept would gel very well with a Miniature toy vehicle line too.

Personally I got very strong Gi Joe vibes from things like Perfect Dark, or Far Cry 6 so I think you just swap out Yara for Cobra Island and insert decades worth of Cobra sub-types. Use Named Characters as bosses.

Far Cry especially would work as it has a modest amount of vehicles.
You could even have a wrecked landing craft with some Gi Joe vehicles in it that enable you to use those as well as stolen cobra characters.

They could use Snake Eyes as the protagonist and return to the silent protagonist trope too or have Scarlet as the player alternative.

In certain set mission you could play as others too outside the main game (like as part of the expeditions) Almost everything in Far Cry dove tails perfectly with GI Joe I'd say.

Remember that tower defense game in the 2010's called Toy Soldiers where you could control individual toy units. They had GI Joe and Cobra as playable factions and man it was sooooo much fun. It had all of the classic ARAH playsets and vehicles and the animations were so good. You could really tell the devs loved GI Joe.

One dumb/minor complaint I have with the Stinger (maybe with the VAMP too I don't remember) is that the rockets have a logo on the right side of it on all four. My OCD wishes 2 had that and the other two had it on the left side of the rocket so that the logos all "face out".

Don't GET me started on the Pittsburg Steelers helmet logo. That thing makes me want to punch babies.

Got the Stinger from EE today but since I don't open them, my son is mesmerized with the hefty box and wants one to open lol. I reminded him that it was 100 dollars and out of stock for now, so maybe Christmas.

We did have a great haul today, though. Got that, we got a BBTS box with Panthor, Mantenna, Rattlor and the Retro Snake Eyes & Storm Shadow pack, and I also got Ebay boxes for a Funko Pop Kingpin, the MCU Legends Red Skull and the Black Series 40th AT-AT Driver, so I need to do some organizing this weekend...

I swear, all my orders hit when my wife is home, tomorrow would have been optimal since she'll be out all day lol.

I like the Stinger more than the VAMP. I'm always more of a Cobra guy and I had the Stinger as a kid so it has the nostalgic factor for me. I've always liked how it looked in black compared to the army green.
