The Stinger has the same small peg to attach the missile tree as the VAMP did from the turret, so be prepared for it to get knocked off. The missile tree itself is more sold than the turret so it getting knocked off just means reattaching and not having to deal with the ammo cans or other stuff getting moved like with the VAMP.

After this release, the HMS, the missile pods for the HISS, the ferret side missiles, the trouble bubble missiles, scrap iron's missiles, and the ones coming wit hthe rattler, I think I'm good with Cobra missiles. I almost kinda with it had the turret from the VAMP like from the Cobra MVS now instead of the blast effects just to change it up a tad.


I think my big disappointment with the Stinger is the attachable bumper plate with foot pegs. It's one of those things that makes alot more sense on the back of the vamp where there's a turret than on a vehicle where they'd be standing behind missiles and it was hinted at that it was meant for you to put on the back of your VAMP. Problem is you actually can't because of the gas can basket on the back of the VAMP and some support pieces on the bumper. You can see on the stinger that these pieces collide with the outline of the basket:



That was a feature I was looking forward too because it would improve the vamp but it doesn't work on the VAMP without removing the basket or cutting up the back bumper.

I know it?s a pain in the ass but ,because ive already taken a vamp apart it looks like you could just swap the parts out where the fuel can basket meets the bumper w/the foot rest and your gold .. mine wont be here till tomorrow and im out of town till tuesday ..

Also TOA i agree without even having them yet, i know lots of collectors my age or close that had the vamp as their first vehicle as a kid , i felt a little underwhelmed even after ordering them but i felt the same w/the tf or nf ram and the tp after the ferrets just not the same as when we were kids am i happy to have them yes , should i have ordered 2 ehhhh maybe . I have no regrets and soubtbi will when i open them on tuesday .

Yeah, it really doesn't make sense. She is definitely hoping that they weren't joking up front when they promised that they won't fire the missile without giving her time to get clear.

This is what I've been thinking myself. My Stinger shows up on Sunday but I'm just not really all that excited for it. I know that it's going to be awesome and all, but I was just way more excited for the VAMP. But getting Clutch with the VAMP could have also had something to do with that. But even as a kid I always thought that the VAMP looked cooler than the Stinger.

Trust me you love it. I love mine. Got my 2 already from BBTS. I have a 3rd on the way from GameStop. I was trying to get another one from pule but that stupid phone number glitch got in the way.

Opened my Stinger. Like it much more than the VAMP. I prefer the tinted windshield and it "feels" bigger even though it isn't. Just something about the black color scheme makes it much cooler and dangerous feeling than the dorky VAMP. The driver is ok. Doesn't capture the 3.75 guy IMO but I'm glad I got it since I'm a figure-only collector.
