So far, only Barbecue stands out as not getting an un-helmetted/unmasked head and he was an early store exclusive. Based on "The Viper is Coming", an unmasked head would probably be included these days. Hoping Airtight will get an unmasked head close to his Sunbow/receding hairline look when it is his turn. Figures like Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes, and Beach Head really do not need an unmasked figure.

Figures like Shockwave and Wolf Spider, do they need unmasked heads? I suppose if you're going to make the first Indian-American Joe then it would be nice to show a little more than just an eye slit. Has Shockwave ever had any media showing him as unmasked, or was the budget better spent getting him a riot shield and other accessories?

To me somebody like Shockwave could use an unmasked head. Especially when a character has a canon ie toy unmasked face.

Generic Cobras don't need them and pretty much every named Cobra shows their faces. The ones that don't probably don't need to.

That said, if they gave me a Firefly with a Faceless Master head and his "real" face I would totally jump on it. Perfect for V2 Firefly and they can add his spinner and make it a deluxe for all I care.

Also - I hope some day Super7 makes a massive Statue of Liberty head to display all their Sunbow Joes at one point.

I still pine for a sandbox style game in the style of Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction on PS2 back in the day. Imagine hunting Cobra villains as you chunk them off of your 52 card deck from a deuce of some Cobra trooper like Scar Face or a low level Dreadnok all the way up to the Ace of spades, Cobra Commander. All the while, you're able to commandeer HISS tanks, Rattlers, Stingers, FANGS, hydrofoils, etc.

It's when you catch Beach Head wearing Grunt's brigade helmet that you should be concerned. And, what about Snake-Eyes? Even in his dress greens he wears a mask.

Nah. He's just fugly. Snake-Eyes points and laughs. The Carnie Twins look at him and run the other way. Scarlett, Cover Girl, and Jinx take a step backward in formation so it looks like Lady Jaye is interested in him. When he goes out for beers with Falcon, he's the ugly friend.

I think all Joes should have unmasked heads. Snake Eyes is the lone exception, but I think a con exclusive could come with his unmasked, disfigured head too. That seems like something that's perfect for a con exclusive.

Hasbro should think about doing, if they haven't already, an accessory pack just made up of alternate, unmasked heads. Similar to what MOTU Classics did years ago. Could have Barbecue, Shockwave, Beach Head and Wolf Spider.
