So instead of finally getting a decent GI Joe game, we now need 2 of them? No problem.

I think a game like Diablo (overhead shooter) could work as well. Team of 4 characters. Can grab different power ups. Maybe vehicles as board clearing "bombs" which can be called in.

I think a cartoon like X-Men 97 but continuing the 80s cartoons could work. Maybe give it a little bit of continuing storylines and develop characters just a bit more.

Short form animation could work too. Maybe Hasbro could reach out to different animators/houses out there and let them make some short animated stories. Something which people can watch on their mobile devices. Seeing different animation styles applied to the brand could be cool.

I don't think a comic book is anything to consider as an anchor for the brand to build off from. Comics don't reach the number of readers like they used to. The 80s GIJoe comic was selling in the hundreds of thousands, so it reached a big audience. Modern comics really don't have that impact or reach anymore. They're fine as another type of media and something to inspire a few different figures, but they're really not going to do much to grow the brand in any significant way.

The only game I want is GIJoe skinned into Fortnite. So all of us here could log in and battle it out with each other.

Re-Map the Island to be Cobra Island. Include locations like, "the Freighter", "the Casino", "Terror Dromes", "Cobra Consulate", "Springfield", "Cobra Airfield", "The Boardwalk", "The Swamp", "Zartan's Garage" etc.

Give them Hiss Tanks, Stingers, Morays, Trouble Bubbles, Rattlers, and so on.

Outfit them with the best Cobra Weapons - from Bludd's Rocket Gun to Scrap Iron's Missiles.

Have 50 Cobra troops already on the Island. They are all controlled by players.

Have 50 Joe Troopers parachute in. Again - all controlled by players.

Battle it out.

I agree Hasbro messed up not putting GI Joe into Fortnite more than they did. The Snake Eyes skin is incredibly hard to get (at least now) and it would have opened up a new avenue for younger people.

It might not have generated more action figure sales but definitely would have with skin and character packs. I see the TMNT, Star Wars and Marvel packs all the time in the item shop when my daughter plays it.

Another way to go would have been to include a code for the Snake Eyes character with the figure. Maybe even have other figures released with the same thing. It could have tied it all together.

Those two specific games have platforms already in place - as is the player base. Adding GI Joe would be a "chapter" or "season" with a Joe theme, just adding skins and background elements to already existing environments. Much less complex, and considerably more timely than designing a game from the ground up.

Yup, the single orphaned skin (and figure of it) didn't really make a dent. And why would it? There was nothing to go with it, nothing to tell the players about it (in the game). Hell, he popped into the comic, fought Batman to a stand-still, and that was it. The attempt was halfassed and all but abandoned - though that may have had to do with the lackluster Origins: SE. lol But still, the opportunity was, and is still there!

Oooo... that's devious. Imagine exclusive figures that would only be purchasable using Fortnite Bucks. Buy the skin in Fortnite for, say, $30 - and it includes a physical action figure that gets shipped to your house. Why have they not done this?

You can only get Bare-Chested Serpentor by downloading Fortnite, setting up an account, purchasing V-Bucks, and buying it there. And we think OAMCC was bad.

It would remind me of the 25th comic packs with the little red stickers and form to order Doc. It was a great way to drive sales. There is a possibility to donut both way. Buy a physical figure and get a code for a character or buy the skin in game and get a physical figure.

Maybe we we should keep this idea private haha
