I hate the generations/passing the torch/everyone is connected trope...but it is crazy how often you see siblings serving, even in really high end capacities. I've known brother/sister fighter pilots,four brothers who were all jet pilots, multiple brothers who are SEALs, etc.

No doubt and it is not a knock. They took a gamble with a 6 inch line and it did not backfire. I just do not see it getting any bigger than it is currently. There is a certain fan base that collects these toys and they hit their market perfectly.

It's a fair point. The reason I suggested legacies is it is a way to have something that is both new and old. As a comic fan, it is used as a way to refresh a character and give the modern reader something that isn't tied up in all the crustiness of their parent's version. I'd honestly be fine if they were all new characters, but what I would like to avoid is a modern reboot of G.I. Joe with twenty-something Snake Eyes, and Scarlett, and Duke.

However, reading the media landscape, the reality is Hasbro is probably going to do a reboot if anything. Comic Books, MCU, Star Trek, and even Star Wars continue to go backwards and recast (or CGI).

I feel like I've had my G.I Joe and I'd like a future generation to have something that is their version of G.I. Joe, untethered to my RAH memories.

Ditto. What is wrong with nostalgia? Not everything need to - or should - last forever. I get tired of the constant remakes, re-imaginings, continuations, sequels, etc. Where is the next NEW thing? The next big deal that is not just a reworking of something before it.

Twisters, Dune, Deadpool, Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, DC, Mission Impossible, Top Gun, Beetlejuice, Wicked! Everything is an IP these days.

To be fair, most adult collectors are probably sneaking peaks at live streams while they're at work. Hasbro shareholders likely want to appear responsible with anything gun-related - which I get - but they seem to overlook the opportunity they have to educate too. As to video games, Pitfall is more my speed.

MGS villains and Cobra are essentially the same in my mind. It is why I loved those games so much when I was kid, goofy convoluted storylines aside.

I actually really like Classified Raptor for this reason. Dude looks like he flew right out of a Metal Gear game.

Yeah, I'm thinking he'll be my favorite figure of the year for similar reasons. I can easily visualize him in a video game, and he'd be a great combo of The Fear and Raging Raven, maybe fighting Snake Eyes. I am really hoping that upcoming Snake Eyes game lifts as much from MGS (and maybe Revengeance) as possible.

Thank god im not the only one . Im sick of it in so many genres .disney/Marvel is the worst about it and practically invented it .. cmon taskmaster is a mind-controlled woman . I love the actress but that role was the worst part of that movie ..
