The challenge with G.I. Joe in media is that it has become a nostalgia brand and ends up constantly revisiting the same characters and stories and appealing to a fixed, ever-aging fan base. Part of the excitement of G.I. Joe was that it was something new -- there was just enough backstory to inspire us but not so much that we were constantly repeating the same story beats.

Personally, if Hasbro was going back to Joe, I'd like to see a new team, aged in real time, with ties to the RAH lore. Let's see the kids (or grandkids) of Joes we know, all new Joes, and new equipment and vehicles that are "5 minutes in the future" of current tech. What would a modern Cobra, Extensive Enterpises, and Dreadnoks look like?

As an old-head, I enjoy the nostalgia of Classified and the Energon Universe, but I think Hasbro should be looking to the future at the same time and making something new.

No offense, as I generally agree with a lot of your posts and opinions, but I would absolutely hate this.

The last thing I want to see out of new GIJoe media is the kids of previous Joes and gender swapping codenames and shit. No thank you.

Tiers I'd love to see would focus around the movie and some deep cuts. Lifeline, Hawk, and Dial Tone are all on the box art and we already have 2/3 of them so not likely to be those guys, same with how we already have Chuckles, Falcon, Jinx, and Tunnel Rat, here's my thoughts:

Cross Country obviously the driver, then:

T1: Big Lob - we never got him in the original line, it's time!

T3: There was a repaint of the Havoc in 1990, and flying the little rocket craft thing was Skydive. I don't think we will get him anytime soon, so why not add him to this?

I agree that a HAVOC would come with Cross Country as a driver. I’m not a big fan or anything, but he’s part of the set.

I like your tier ideas, but I still think cartoon deco Chuckles should be tier 1. Tier 2 could be Skydive or my personal wish would be a giant blast effect for the front of the HISS. Hasbro would save Big Lob for tier 3 as the bait to get it there. Just like the pilot Baroness.

We need to take this to Dreadnok Twins level of obsession. In 2027 (since the haslab is obviously already chosen for this year) I want to hear Tony say "annnndddd the missiles are scaled perfectly for Chuckles to throw" when presenting the Havoc Haslab.

YES. YES. YES. The shared lore of Chuckles and the HAVOC must be fully acknowledged and realized in plastic form. Can anyone give an example of something more GI Joe than what Chuckles did? The man is a legend and should be treated as such. Cmon Hasbro, make it right
