Stepping into industry pants a bit (I am already wearing them), you always want consumer input - before design, during, and prior to launch.
Look at MOTU Origins Snake Put - their "voters choose" sample (people could vote twice) may have hidden an impassioned split vote behind a common secondary vote. That is, people selected two items, but didn't rank them; if most chose Attack Trak or Fright Zone as their top choice, but both chose Snake Pit as their second, Snake Pit wins. Then the actual design wasn't up to par with what consumers wanted - in design, in price. It was 1000% going to fail, and Mattel's consumer research (happening FAR too late in the process, about a week before the planned launch) was enough to get them to walk it back and postpone. Saving face, time, and money. But if they did that earlier they could have saved more time, money, face. Also, large corporations are planning 2026 already. Hasbro knows (and may be already in early design stages of) not just the 2026 Classified release schedule, but they probably already know the 2026 Joe Classified Haslab. Even if it's known, you need customer input. As I tell my stakeholders, AI is great, but it's not enough. Even if they knew the next few iterations, you have to do quality consumer research in order to make sure consumer are enthusiastic with the product, features, extras, and price. From what everyone here has said, the focus groups have shown multiple vehicle options and then options by vehicle. Which would imply they weren't all decided on yet. Do I believe they're already developing the 2025 Haslab project, sure. Do I believe they're developing the 2027 project, no. |

HAVOC
MAULER MORAY WHALE No matter what the 2025 HasLab is - I see any option falling much further below the sales figures of the HISS, DRAGONFLY, and RATTLER. I think all of these would fund... but I don't think any of them are going to reach the 24K level of final figures. Half that, maybe?

Even with Star Wars a virtual wasteland until the Mando movie I'm sure Hasbro wants to be in on a possible Baby Yoda craze reignition. Although Disney does nominally make their own 3.75 Star Wars (whether they are made by Disney or just Disney not listing Hasbro on the package is anyone's guess). |

IMHO the HAVOC needs to have the figures sit inside the front and not lay. That think looked SO uncomfortable for the soldiers inside.

IMO this would be a great idea. Everyone wants more and more skus and more toys. This spreads your sales and marketing dollars too thin. Great comment P&G did exactly what you suggested years ago. They had like 86 brands and they turfed a good chunk of them to focus on their largest brands and really drive sales. Hasbro should think about this. A new gi joe cartoon would be great IMO. We are due. And I think they could recreate the 80?s demand and bring a new fan base. Batman released a new cartoon on prime in the same feel as Batman TAS and it?s pretty awesome and people do die in it
