Frag-Viper for me will 100 percent depend on his weapon. If they stick with the Jai Alai thing, pass. If they update it to some sort of repeating grenade launcher, I'm down. The helmet and original uniform & colors are fine with me.

I'm probably passing on the SAW Viper just because of that goddamn chainsaw, that just killed the figure for me. Sometimes one stupid little thing can ruin a great concept.

I know I am a bit more gushing in my praise for Python Patrol that some people ; but if one wanted some additional example of what we could get if Hasbro wanted to expand the line past its roots this is a good template to follow : : THE PYTHON PATROL PROJECT :

I get what you are saying (comparison to vintage colorways), and there is the vintage name swap issue. Just wanted to point out that both Classified 56 & 97 use parts from both the the regular Classified Trooper/Infantry and Officer. Except for the Officer chest piece, even though the #56 package art would suggest otherwise. We are finally getting that part again with the Twilight Guard.

Going back a few pages with the talk of the Mauler as a potential 2025 Gi Joe Classified Haslab It got me thinking... what with how they are making promises of things to complement the Dragonfly in 2025 and how we got things to complement the Hiss in 2024. What will they do in 2026 to complement the Mauler....

Some light armour perhaps like the Armordillo, or maybe some desert deco repaints... maybe the Sand Scorpion just got a lot more likely to get made in the next 2 years too as a suitable complement.

Maybe they might even consider doing some antagonistic complements and do a desert themed repaint on some Cobra Characters like the Trooper, Officer, Viper or saw Viper perhaps ?

I think it is very likely they will make a 1/12th AWE Striker in the next couple of years.. so perhaps that and the Armordillo & even the RAM might all get some desert repaints....

They might even lead into that in 2025/26 with things they might potentially do like Spearhead and Max, or Dusty and Sandstorm sets too.

I don't expect them to haul a Desert deco Dragonfly out for a while though.. I think they are saving that argument for as long as possible thus not Hiss Tank repaint yet either.

Indeed others have some takes of their own too on other things like the Alley Viper as well. I would think perhaps Hasbro might go a bit harder on the yellow than on gold though judging by the TRU inspired deco on the PP Bat & Vypra.

It would have been so nice to have some of those Vypra's that Cheap she's just as rare as Wolf Spider in the UK though unfortunately. So my dreams of army building her are not likely to be filled in any great hurry.

But to be honest the desire isn't as great to do that without a Male PP Ninja to complement her. So I guess she will rather be a self-contained individual character instead.
