I can tell you exactly what happens.

Folks buy from Amazon a toy but make sure that the seller is Amazon itself and not a seller through Amazon... as AMZ does a poor job of QC on their own outgoing supply.

They receive the item, stuff it with something else they don't want and then launch a return/refund action with Amazon.

Amazon accepts and they ship the altered package back. Amazon Returns receives it, issues the refund and places the item (without inspecting it) back in inventory under Amazon Warehouse... sometimes under a slight discount.

Someone finds a deal under Amazon Warehouse and gets the abomination in the mail.

The cycle continues.

They did not sell it to me. They received it and sent me the picture asking what they should do. I told them to do a return with Amazon saying it is the wrong figure. Take the item to Kohls and they will handle the return.

The member was a little embarrassed and asked me not to say who it was. I told them it happens and they did nothing to be embarrassed about. The person who did the switch should be ashamed though.

Nothing to be ashamed of. Happens to the best of us, right? Back during the Hasbro blind boxes, I got a WWE Basic wrestling figure in place of the Marvel Legends I'd ordered. Some people are just thieving scumbags.

I would prefer more cobra troops than joes the joes were always outnumbered by the sheer volume of cobra forces and they still won . I want a huge battlefield full of different cobra forces taken out by the joes .. we need

I don't know why anyone would buy Classifieds from Amazon. I'd do BBTS or Pulse, or if it's not available, I'd wait and get it from a reputable seller on Ebay that has good pics.

Ya'll are not alone! While I hem very close to the 86-89 ARAH years for my purchases in Classified, with some key exceptions for 1985 and core characters, I too would be down for classified versions of those truly innovative, late ME, laregely POC/Retaliation sourced Cobra troop builders:

Data Viper
Jungle Viper
Hazard Viper
Iron Grenadier Heavy Gunner
The up-armored Crimson Guard from Retaliation Line
Cobra Shock Trooper
A more realistic, classified take of a non-animated version of the Cobra Trooper from Renegades

Also, let Lenny and the team design some of their own from scratch - maybe present some options and enable a fan vote for what gets put into production...it would eliminate the risk inherent in transitioning from the nostalgia feels as those options reduce in number.
