The Hiss is little bit longer and wider and has more internal space than the original so a Mauler would be maybe an inch wider and about the same length (not counting the main gun) and not as tall as the Hiss.

The Mobat being a 1960's template is likely even taller than a Mauler even though over all it would be shorter has a shorter main gun and wouldn't be as wide.

Also Classified figures take up more space than they should as they can't put their arms by their sides usually - meaning any vehicle has to accommodate the extra width into the design to compensate for that.

Realistically they can do a Mauler and do it cheaper than the Rattler too. and to be honest they really should make it closer to the Hiss Price even if they have to go back to 3 figures again to do it. As that would encourage army building.

The joke is if they just made it with 1 figure sold it for $225 or so then I'd likely end up with more of any tank (and repaints too) as It would be around longer, up for pre-order longer and generally easier to manage doing that.

That is why I sometimes thing they'd be better off GOING BIGGER and making a https://www.3djoes.com/apc.html instead & just making any tank as retail so they can more easily farm the mould.

To be honest if they Make a Mobat as retail I'd be way happier as at least then there is some chance of getting a CAT or CAT II as well.

Where as I can't really see them doing a https://www.3djoes.com/killer-whale.html as retail... I really can't see any reason for any standard tank to no be retail and a lot of reasons it really really should be retail or a pulse exclusive in their own interest.
Ultimately even though the fans are paying for it to be made there is a lot more money in a Mobat or mauler at retail as soon as they make a repaint.

Besides I like the idea of them being able to repaint a Mauler as there wasn't a lot of repaints.. and I think I'd kinda dig a Green or Grey Mauler and we'd likely never get that if it was a Haslab. If a Mauler was a Haslab that would be Hasbro admitting they want to charge $325 or so for it (regardless of if it is worth that or not) and be done with it.

I will be brutally honest and say the problem is some people are likely yelling in their face that they'd only buy a Green Mobat and only buy a Tan Mauler and might not even know that either had any repaints or if they did they'd say "a CAT or CAT II doesn't have a place in my collection".

Mean while I'd be like "But yeah I want a CAT as it is a perfect visual complement to the Hiss and the Stinger, and I want a CAT II as The Crimson Guard lacks for vehicles".

We'll be lucky enough to get a MOBAT or Mauler. I wouldn't hold my breath for repaints. We haven't seen Haslab repaints, and if we do, they'll start with the HISS.

And I don't see them sizing down a tank to work as a retail release. And certainly a tank which is smaller than the HISS just doesn't make sense. Unless it's a mini-tank like the Armadillo.

Basically combining the HISS with the HISS II essentially.

So maybe we do get some kind of Mobat with say more hatches or something like the Mauler to fit more figures while it still very much looks like the Mobat. IE the Classified HISS taking the back inspiration from the HISS II.

Based on it costing $30 over retail.. I'm going to assume they didn't get these at wholesale price. Still a much better price than the after market has been.

I bet you dollars to donuts there will be plenty of people who buy it without reading the fact that it is "substandard" grade/damaged box. Customers do not read descriptions nowadays - Amazon and eBay both minimize or hide descriptions in places you'd have to scroll or expand to even see so people have gotten used to basing their entire purchase on picture, title & price.
