The focus groups play a significant part in what the HasLabs could be so its probably not a coincidence a poll here is factored into those choices since we know several HT members have done the focus groups before.

I guess a 1/12th Tank is tricky to get right they are often to small or missing features.

Depends I guess? Max Factory has done true scale 1/12 mechanized tanks for under $150 but of course they are hollow inside for the most part (because the think has a good motor in it!). Would people be interested in a tank if it didn't have all the detail inside if say this allowed them to do one under $200?

If it's Haslab I have to assume we get some kinda of removable part to see inside the tank where a "play area" would be but outside of a Haslab I'm not sure it needs that detail.

Some under $200 version could also then be recolored later with a new top to become the Equalizer so the Mad Marauders have a place to go.

As an aside, I always found it odd that the comic and cartoon were clearly interested in Star Wars and later Top Gun inspired dog fighting but the most prominent Cobra planes were a tank-killer and a spy plane. In 1989 the got the Condor which was a hybrid fighter/bomber and then finally they go their first dedicated air superiority fighter in 1990's Hurricane. Sure, Cobra had the CLAW and eventually the Firebat, but those were more fodder for fighting Skyhawks or ground troops than something that could go toe to toe with the Skystriker or Conquest-- even in the disposable TIE fighter way.

Given that the early cartoon and comic both made use of MiG-like jets (and certianly post Top Gun and other 80's jet movies like Iron Eagle), I thought a Cobra take on a MiG was a huge missed opportunity.

I think they just used the Rattler because let's face it - alot of us small kids had no idea it was a ground attack fighter. Reading the comics and seeing Wild Weasel and Ace going at it I just assumed the thing was as maneuverable as a Skystriker.

Im down for that ,i want more divers cobra or joe sooner than later . Its funny some of the artwork depicted on the covers are weird there was no way hawk/wetsuit have anywhere to hang on to the side of that thing wetsuits leg is stuffed btwn the seat & the outboard motors plus it looks so small with 3 dudes on it ... I enjoy looking at these from time to time . Makes me laugh

Wetsuit is a possibility. But who knows who Hasbro would include it could be Admiral Keel-Haul (the is no Flagg coming) Cutter (if no whale), or perhaps they would include a Palitoy figure like Dolphin (with intent to troop build) I just hope they make a Devilfish.

I think these are more realistic options. I just don't see them putting Wetsuit with a vehicle. He'll be mainline.

If they keep the scale consistent with the vintage line, both the Mauler and the Mobat would both be giant as HasLabs. I don't think they'd be nearly as interesting as a HAVOC. Both tanks would still be too short to add much, if any, sort of interior. Still really, really hoping the HasLab can be a HAVOC. I have zero attachment or memories of the Mauler, but the image of Chuckles destroying a HISS by tossing a HAVOC missile is iconic.

Another idea for a potential WHALE unlock figure is v2 Lifeline? He always looked like he was sort of a Coast Guard rescue trooper in that outfit.

But only if v1 is already out. I can only imagine the uproar if v2 Lifeline was released in Classified first! lol And rightfully so.
