It is big/long , my adult hands/eyes dont remember it being that long but that devilfish is as long as the vamp im thinking $75 for the dfish and an operator ,sharc will be vamp priced . In adddition to the tank being displayed on the HUD, the tank smasher patch and the repeated refrain of "ground attack jet" means they aren't hiding the ball on the function of the Rattler -- it is not an air superiority fighter like the Conquest of Skystriker.

As an aside, I always found it odd that the comic and cartoon were clearly interested in Star Wars and later Top Gun inspired dog fighting but the most prominent Cobra planes were a tank-killer and a spy plane. In 1989 the got the Condor which was a hybrid fighter/bomber and then finally they go their first dedicated air superiority fighter in 1990's Hurricane. Sure, Cobra had the CLAW and eventually the Firebat, but those were more fodder for fighting Skyhawks or ground troops than something that could go toe to toe with the Skystriker or Conquest-- even in the disposable TIE fighter way.

Given that the early cartoon and comic both made use of MiG-like jets (and certianly post Top Gun and other 80's jet movies like Iron Eagle), I thought a Cobra take on a MiG was a huge missed opportunity.

I would say Cobra could use something similar to the Chengdu J-20 but it isn't that different to the Liquidator or the Hurricane really.

The Liquidator would be a nice thing for Fans hobby to do as I doubt very much Hasbro's legal dpt. would chase them over that.

Tweaking it a little would benefit it get rid of the handle put some lights in it and put an internal weapons bay where the handle is.
Make it a hair bigger and I think it would be a very popular thing, but also something Hasbro themselves would never make.

The YF-23 like Storm Eagle is also something they can't really chase someone over since Hasbro was pinching it's likeness in the 1st place themselves. Same tweaks would work on this too ditch the handle and replace it with an internal weapons bay and broaden the wings a little bit. Ad lights and landing gear hatches and you'd have something else based on a very well regarded *real* prototype Jet which alone would sell it.

But I think the Liquidator would be a decent choice as it fills that air superiority fighter role Cobra Otherwise bares has. & it would be less of a legal minefield than the Stellar Stiletto or something like that.

I think they likely should stay away from anything hasbro might make themselves like the SHARC though.

I was watching the mass device episodes a few days ago and destro and his fellow pilots shooting the volcano with their mig replicas that had the vtol like the rattler would eventually have is a memory, i had forgot about ..

As for the WHALE, I think it has to have the bike/sled and floating ability. As for figures, Cutter is a given and maybe DEEP-SIX in his sweater/bucket hat from his first appearance in the comics. Not sure about the other two, but I would like sweater SHIPWRECK for sure.

Those pics are perfect for size comparison btwn the vamp/dfish/sharc/thunder machine/awe striker . Makes me think the snowcat will be a haslab it bigger than the og vamp/hisstank ..
