This. 100% this. The HasLabs will ALWAYS be ARAH type vehicles that even with some modernization you can still know it is the iconic vehicle. Nobody truly believes the Skystriker, HISS, Dragonfly and Rattler have been deviated enough from original designs that they are instantly recognized and named as such.

AWE Striker, Firebat, Sky Hawk & Sharc could all be reasonably in the $100.00 Price point
But I wouldn't rule out some thing being crowbarred into the MMS's $70/$80 ish price point too. For example a Locust, Armadillo tank or a Pirahna; maybe the Pogo.

One would hope that the $50/$60 price point would be a possibility for some things too like a Polar Battle Bear, Devil Fish. I would hope the reduced part count might enable them to sneak a towable gun in at this price too.

I think the https://www.3djoes.com/agp.html is doable at the SMS price point though.. and likely an item well worth doing... I would suggest a small design tweak though which is a docking port on the underside so it can fit on a DEMON as well if they do that as a HASLAB at some point.

I'd be very interested to see where they'd place https://www.3djoes.com/mudfighter.html price wise - I expect above $100 though.

The missiles are kinda complicated and I really don't want any tracked vehicles that don't have moving tracks (usually) so that would make a tiny think kinda costly.. could they do it as the HMS price point.. yes... would they ?

Oh man , the buzz boar ive mentioned that several times , the pbb and the devilfish are 2 that we really need besides just some random choppers for the dreadnoks .. i picked up 5 ferrets and my intention was to use 3 for the og noks one for firefly/storm shadow and 1 for the twins but now i really like having a 5 woman squad on ferrets . And now the claw is coming i thought i would get 5 but now im thinking 7-8 just to have some extra claws for dedicated pics/poses/displays i like having dedicated teams/squads and vehicles to go with them canon or not . One of my hisstanks has range vipers hanging all over it and flanking it , IMO it would look real good with a rip-it driving it being flanked by a bunch of range vipers .

I just had a thought... what if the reason there was this rumour that then went "quiet" on the Large Vehicle front is that they decided to partner with Walmart or Target on such a vehicle.. then it would be a lot more likely to be "a secret" if it was supposed to debut at an event reveal.

Which got me thinking... they might go "Normal" with something VAMP related... like say an Arctic Stinger (or a blue one) or a VAMP II.

Then those might not show up until they get a brickseek listing or something like that. But they could still show up "effectively" out of no where.

As for Nostalgia.. I got to thinking about colours.

I was thinking about the ASP (as I do... 'a lot') and it's Cobra Army Blue colouring. then I got thinking about this : https://www.joeaday.com/cobra-rattler-4-wd-1998/ it is basically for all intents a Stinger that looks like it belongs as part of Nightwatch. But I was thinking what if they took some liberties with the colours left the black undertray and side skirts but made the entire body Cobra Army blue and then painted black and white paint on top.

That would make it more than just a funny looking Stinger.. it would make it a lot closer to The Cobra Army Blue, make it look a lot better near a Ferret, and Rattler too. if they do ever make that ASP I want so much then for that too.

I think i'd likely say paint the wheel hub rivet line in dark blue too.

I suppose if they really want to invest in the digital cammo idea fully they could tweak the danger at the Dock Vamp II (grey version) into blue cammo and just make the entire thing a Cobra vehicle... (implying they copied it).
Or keep the Stinger accessories but borrow the Vamps lovely camo only in blue.

But maybe that is a bit to many Vamps to quickly.

But I really do like the idea of they grey one re-branded as Night Force I think that would work very well indeed.
They could even keep the Night Force Flint Driver idea too especially as a revised Retro Flint is supposed to be on the way before to long they can base such a figure on that.

I was simply speaking to the fact that I think some people sort of expect the Haslab vehicles to look like their original counterparts when you look at them. Not replicas, but just that you know what it is when you see it. There is not a Joe fan alive that couldn't tell the HISS is a HISS and the Dragonfly is a Dragonfly... that's is the entirety of my point. I think it's sort of bonkers those keep being brought up as examples like they were drastically altered.

The MOBAT would need so much help to be viable as a Classified vehicle I'd argue it's a terrible candidate for one and I'm one of the old guys that's pro 1982. There are tons more vehicles that would benefit from the Haslab treatment with much easier updates than a MOBAT (i.e the Mauler.. green or not).

Third - To answer your question.. it's a MOBAT if you look at it and can tell it's a MOBAT. Something can be updated and still retain it's original feel (i.e the last 3 Haslabs).

I?m in the camp that would want the basic feel/ spirit of the original vehicle but with some modern updates and flaw fixes. I don?t really want a perfect replica of the Mobat or Mauler. Also my Joe years are 82-86. I love the updates they did to Grunt and Rock N Roll. I?m ready for a haslab tank. Hope that it?s next years Haslab.

I like all the small updates they gave the other Haslabs and yet when you look at the vehicles you still know exactly what it is.

From what I understand they might not be allowed to disclose what is presented during the ficus groups. There is a NDA in place to participate that lasts 10 years.
