Yeah got that set for $15 from KB toys back when I was only buying stuff here and there . The price was to hard to pass up and the set was really cool. I still have it to this day.

That's the story of the Crimson Strike Set. It's a fabulous set. Even back in the day it was pricey. I was blown away when I found an entire pallet of them at an Ollies for $35.

My best ollies find till this year was 15 to 20 each of the cobra island and other 4? figure sets one had like recondo etc the other had a bunch of dreadnoks one had bludd with the bone colored collar etc or the 4? star wars vehicle 2 packs ollies had like the droid gunship a mando ship that giant spider droid so many different ships there or when those retaliation vehicles started showing up @ ollies the dreadnok cycle and that treaded vehicle roadblock drove i cant remember the names right now ..

Actually that is rather great I hope they make the Basilisk for Gi Joe Classified as then there is something more suited to pulling an ASP which I'd also like for Classified.

As otherwise the blue wouldn't match much with the ASP unless they make a Blue Stinger or Blue Hiss Tank later on. Or just repainted the ASP Black and put it in 788 Fire Team style packaging.

If they wanted to make the Basilisk more distinct I wouldn't mind them adding the cannons from the later Snow Cat variations and also maybe an additional armoured window cover pieces and even a bulldozer blade for the front.

I don't think a modern version always has to be identical and including some extra or different pieces would be good for army building. Especially it would perhaps encourage people to buy an extra Snow Cat and an Extra Basilisk to parts swap them.

I personally would be all in for a blue stinger i love the vamp body as is ,but different color variations would be great as well @ least IMO i wish they would do a construction type hiss or a longe range recon one , in maybe not desert colors but desert color/type or make a cheap hiss so i dont have to paint a haslab one so i can do something with it i have an itch to work on a hiss .

I remember seeing that. Ranks as the second best GI Joe find at Ollies. The first are the 25th Cobra Island sets. The store around me got 10 cases, each with 2 sets of attack of cobra island and defense of cobra island for $14.99 each.
