I worked at a K&K toy store that was turned into KB as my first job. I remember putting out '89 stuff and having a secret stash of '89 batman because I started the month the movie came out haha. I'd go back and take that job in a heartbeat over what I do now =/

I'm not at all affected when they make changes to the lore either.. as it has nothing to do with if a character looks cool or not.

But I am super attached to some characters, but that attachment is 100% based on the nostalgia I have for the original toy versus any media source.

^^^ This is the camp I'm in, as well. And, I couldn't have said it any better, so I'll just quote. Also - I never collected any Joe figures, after the end of ARAH, until Classified. I can't speak to those figures or their lore.

My group graduated from playing outside to driving in circles around town and getting kicked out of parking lots. There were so many kids "cruising" the town put a ban on it.

The last time I remember, "I Wanna Sex You Up" came on the radio and my friend told me to turn it up and pull over. Then he stood outside the car trying to look cool before the cops chased us off.

That's my favorite form of canon. Especially, when it's in regards to how I interacted with toys, in my childhood. I never let other source material overly influence that, when I was a kid. I always enjoyed deciding who these "people" were.
