Yeah I'm afraid the cringe of the Sunbow cartoon was often stronger than my resolution to watch the show.
So I just kinda went.. well that was a thing... and went and watched Cartoons that didn't make my spine want to escape. I'm still amazed that the best Cartoon Sunbow ever made (Visionaries) only lasted 1 season.. and even that was a tiny bit cringe in places. I don't mind a bit of cringe even the best cartoons have some (Ulysses 31 for example makes me occasionally face palm - but other times it's an epic show) Starscream in Transformers is pretty much made of cringe - but everyone still loves him for it. But yeah Gi Joe Laser M-16's and Parachute syndrome is a lot more acceptable when you are 8 years old i'd suggest. Or Maybe I liked the toys so much and the premise so much I was willing to turn a blind eye to any flaws (much as I do with Miraculous now) |

Then suddenly we find out that Cobra was actually being run by a bunch of strange beings who looked like they would be more at home on Eternia. It kind of felt like the rug was pulled out from under us and shifted the entire tone of the line. |

Oh yeah I never saw any of the Mole Rats, either. I think Classified and MOTU Origins are tied for "most popular and successful action figure series I've bought almost entirely online". I don't think I've come across ANY of the Snake Men at Target or Walmart.

Why is it so shocking that nothing can be found at retail? Let's face it, Classified sells horribly at retail.
For whatever reason Target seems to be obsessed with deluxe items which do nothing but rot on the shelves so they for whatever reason still get that, but this stuff doesn't move. From a business perspective, it's a horrible move for them and only great for those of you that can't wait for clearance, Ollie's ect. There's just too many people selling this stuff with hardly any of it actually hard to find or get for a reasonable price elsewhere. It makes plenty of sense for stores not to carry much of it. How many times must they go down the same road, when they already know where it leads? |
