Nice surprise today. Stinger shipped from Gamestop.ca. Should have it tomorrow. Was not expecting it till September. Only just got the Doc wave last Friday. And still waiting on Retro Beach Head.

I'm in a weird place in that I prefer the more modern look of the Mauler but I would not want a tan/desert tank -- I want army green. Heck, I may even pass on the VAMP MkII for the same reason.
So, I'm probably part of team freak, but my preferences for a Joe HasLab tank would be: 1) Green Mauler 2) Green Mobat 3) New Joe tank based on the M1A1 Abrams Quote:

I agree. Ideally, I want a modern version tank in green. Either an updated Mauler or something based on the Abrams. And I would be down to do something like the HISS where you can make it a clean version or add rockets, more guns, and/or grenade launchers. And I think 2 in the body and a commander in the turret is the perfect balance.
Just for laughs, I'd like to see a Mark VIII tank as a Classified Haslab. It would have to be desert colored, but with blue stickers to give us a choice - Cobra tank, or tank to use with our Indiana Jones Adventure Series figures! ;-) |

Missed the POP craze however, once I got into Classified, I did pick up a few Joe POPs. Snake Eyes (76); Scarlett; Mindbender; Serpentor; the Baroness; Cobra Red Ninja; Shipwreck; Roadblock; and the Cobra F.A.N.G.
There are other Joes I do not have but will grab if I come across at a reasonable clip (Zartan for example). Last I heard, 6 months or so ago, they were headed to landfills; but that could be a rumour too seeing as they are still selling |

The Mauler has to be tan or it's not the Mauler. The Haslab projects are too big and require too many backers to risk deviating from what people know and expect (see existing Joe Haslabs).

I love the Bridger Layer also, I have two, but agree that as a Haslab it would be on the boring side. It has a very specific use which probably doesn't come up all that often and would limit display options.
I would love a Mauler but I guess I'm in the minority as for me I would have to have it tan. It just wouldn't seem right to me in green. Although who am I kidding I would probably get it anyway. I guess the Rolling Thunder would be too big? That thing had play features up the wazoo. I would love to see a mock-up of one in Classified size just to see what it would look like. I know it is another one that would probably be too big, but far and away the number one choice for me is the Whale. Hell, even if Hasbro re-released the 3.75" scale Whale it would sell like hotcakes I would wager. |

I actually thought it would have been cool to get some sort of connector to let it land on the top of the HISS.

I just got Death's Head (payment was taken website didn't update - no shipping notification & no tracking number either - it just showed up).
But other than chipping in on that point I will say that Death's head is about the right size for what I'd like them to do the "Were Polar Bear critters from the Gi Joe comic in size wise he's spot one for that". The Monster Viper though I want that to be D&D Owl Bear size. |
