Remotely? I never had a pilot and the bomb on mine at the same time, always assumed that was for a pilot-less bomb run.

The pilot went where the bomb was. The bomb was only in place if used as a drone. And for that reason alone makes the CLAW awesome and far more practical as a weapon then the FANG or Trubble Bubble. Cobra had a drone army decades ahead of modern drone warfare that we see now.

Yes to both of these. You could not put the figure on it with the bomb. It was either remotely piloted or figure piloted.

100% correct. There is no way they will do a tank unless it can seat at least 2 figures.

I'd be game for that Mauler design...IF they incorporate additional hatches.

As to the Equalizer, loved it as a kid too and actually had it (which was a rarity for me to be able to get big marquee vehicles like that). However, it's actually based upon an air defense system w/ surface to air missiles and AAA guns, and isn't really a tank.

However, it was based on the Mauler's chassis as I recall...and therein makes a great HASLAB consideration: what if they gave us that chassis and provided Equalizer AND Mauler tops that are interchangeable? Now that would be a HASLAB worth getting.

I'm in a weird place in that I prefer the more modern look of the Mauler but I would not want a tan/desert tank -- I want army green. Heck, I may even pass on the VAMP MkII for the same reason.

So, I'm probably part of team freak, but my preferences for a Joe HasLab tank would be:
1) Green Mauler
2) Green Mobat
3) New Joe tank based on the M1A1 Abrams

I think you call it the MBT instead of the Mauler MBT. It feels like an abbreviated MOBAT.

Yeah, I'm of the belief that Joe vehicles (outside of environmental specific ones or jets) should be offered green first. Joe has its roots in military fantasy and toys, and what's more than that than green army vehicles?
