I have my personal laptop next to my work laptop... and it's easy for me to refresh repeatedly most of the day, while still doing my actual job. If I see him pop up again I'll post again.

Right! I secured mine, but I've been watching purely for intel. It's almost a game at this point. I suspect the horrible new version of Pulse is not being helped by this traffic.

I've seen him available once today not really trying. But all the other times someone announced it he's been gone.
Still waiting on a delivery date for mine. Got the email early this morning and FedEx still only says 'label created'. |

If he briefly goes up for sale, and then goes SOLD OUT again almost immediately, it was probably just someone cancelling an order.

This last time he lasted over 2 minutes.. still could have been cancellations I guess. .but it was a bit longer than some of the blips have been. That's only two minutes shorter than the first two full order windows.

That is some truth right there , wally/targets distribution is terrible . One thing ive never had any cancellations by wally for anything , target @ least 5 on my credit card that is dedicated only for online toy/figures/paint/supplies etc and i know the limit and its not ever been close ..
Walmart, on the other hand, has let a preorder sit and sit and sit, item comes in stock and I ignore since I have a "secured" one through preorder, preorder still sits, and sits, until finally the item goes out of stock and I get the "unable to fulfill order" notification/cancellation. It's the reason I prefer to go through Pulse for all the WM exclusives. Also why I'm keeping my fingers crossed they fulfill the Ex Venom, which Pulse never got.

Serious question, does anyone here actually care about scarcity or future value of an item when they buy it?
I'm wondering if I am the norm, or an outlier. But I don't give two flying fucks if any of this stuff will be worth money later. Like, I didn't want OAMCC because he's a hard to acquire exclusive. I just wanted the figure because it looks cool. Do people who go to comic con care about exclusives? Is that why they even go to begin with? I guess a bigger question would be why do people still go to SDCC in general? I like a good convention, but not the ones that I have to shell out hundreds to fly across the country to attend. Not to mention fighting all the crowds and the exorbitant rates for everything all along the way. Genuinely curious if anyone here who doesn't live in California or a neighboring state and doesn't work for this site attended the show and why. For California locals, I get it, but if you live on the East Coast, there is just no incentive to go to SDCC. Anyways, back to my point, I collect this stuff because I like it and it makes me happy in the present day. I guess if it retained some value there would be some reassurance that I could offload all of this crap in the event of a financial emergency and recoup some of the cost spent, but I pretty much never think of this. Every time I buy a new figure, I consider that money gone, never to return. There's been a lot of talk over the past few days about exclusives and if we're entitled to them or not. Some say that exclusives SHOULD be hard to get. Or that you shouldn't expect to get one at retail if you didn't attend the show. I agree to a certain extent. I suppose it depends on the exclusive. I have managed to nab all of them so far, one way or another. However this Once A Man Coco is an example of a solid exclusive. This figure is representative of a main character who looked like this for maybe an hour of runtime, maybe less. He was subsequently turned back to human form with the DIC series. In my opinion this is the perfect deep cut exclusive. This is not a collection defining piece in my opinion. On the other hand, Mindbender and Serpentor are core characters that would rightfully piss off a lot of people if this was the only way to get it. Same with Chuckles to a degree, although I know a lot of people don't love that character as much as I do. |

I feel bad for all the Dark Knight HotToys collectors (not really) who dropped bank on the Nolan releases expecting to make a mint, only to see better and better versions released later, on multiple occasions. lol

Are classified figures worth anything really anymore? Like at the start Cobra Island stuff flipped for decent amounts but I don't think there has been anything like that since. I suppose the haslab figures sell for decent amount since that is the only way to obtain those figures.
